Let's say that the Smiths are a bit wealthy in this
"Mom we're home" I yell entering our house with my brother.
My brother and I have just arrived home after a day at school, finally the weekend I can sleep as much as I want without having anyone bother me.
"Hello dear" our mom replied giving us a kiss "I didn't feel like cooking so me and your father decided that we should eat out for tonight".
YES, eating out means no dishes and no chores
"Sweet, where are we eating?" My brother replied taking his backpack off
"Chen's noodle house, I heard they serve good food" our dad replied fixing his shirt
"They do actually, me and my friends have been there before" Kai replies, of course he's eaten there before there's this redhead at school that he's been eyeing and I'm pretty sure she works there.
"Alright then Chen's noodle house it is," we drove to the restaurant and parked our car
We entered the restaurant and went to look for a seat, we chose the one where there weren't much people, away from the self service so it wouldn't be that loud, the waiter gave us the menu and took our order.
I was on my phone while I was waiting for our orders as Kai suddenly spoke up
"Uhm mom, dad,"
"Yes son?" Our dad answered.
"Could I possibly borrow....some cash?"
"What for?" Mom asked
"My friends and I thought it would be a good idea for us to...go to the pool 'cause uh it is the weekend after all and I finished all my homework" he explained
"Is your allowance all out?" Our parents give us a monthly allowance so that we don't need them to buy stuff for us
"Well, not really but I thought I could just ask for some extra money" Kai replied scratching the back of his head, he probably spent all of it on dates or outings with friends, I've never seen him buy school supplies before, only a book, like ONCE.
"Why not just use our pool?" I joined in still scrolling on my phone
"Hey, that's a good idea, you can also save money" our dad replied.
"But dad our pool is dirty" my brother complained.
"You're being dramatic Kai, It's not even that dirty, you just need to take out the leaves, rake a little and tadaa, a clean pool" our mom replied even making sound effects.
The only reason I suggested our pool is because I wanted to see Kai suffer from cleaning, though the pool isn't that dirty there's mud on some parts of it, and Kai hates getting mud on him, specially the hair
"But...but won't it be awkward 'cause you two will be there" Kai said still trying to bargain.
"No we won't honey I have some errands to do tomorrow" Our mom replied.
"And I have extra work in the office" our dad replied too
"Ugh..fine I guess" Kai said defeated.
I texted him to laugh at the fact that he not only wasn't given money but got extra chores.
"LMAOOO pool boy"
As I continued scrolling through my feed, I heard a notification from his phone go off
One new message from Kai.
I open the notif to see what he said back
"stfu"
