It was the middle of the night when Harry woke up. He didn't have to pee, but he wasn't having any Braxton Hicks either. Harry shrugged it off, crawling out of bed and making his way downstairs to make himself a cup of ice water.

He grabbed a cup and pressed it to the ice dispenser, eyes widening when he felt a jolt in his belly. He held his belly, smiling softly.

"Sorry baby," Harry whispered to Darcy as he sat down at the dining room table and played on his phone. "I didn't realize sudden noises could scare you."

But, suddenly, Harry felt a dull pain in his lower back. "Oh," he gritted his teeth. "Just— just stay in there for a couple more days, yea?"

Harry sat down on the couch, sitting up straight, as he called his mid-wife.

"Hey— yeah," Harry breathed, "yeah, they're not painful but they're about 17 minutes apart."

"Okay," Harry nodded his head as he listened to his mid-wife, "thank you. Thank you, bye."

After about a few hours on sitting downstairs and breathing through the contractions, Zain came downstairs. "Hey," He sat down on the couch next to Harry, "you okay?"

"I—" Harry gritted his teeth, "no, not really."

"What's wrong?" Zain asked worriedly. He rubbed his hands across Harry's belly, frowning as he notice how hard it felt.
"It's," Harry sat up, wrinkling his nose, "it's just contractions. I'm fine."

"What?" Zain's eyes widened. "Why didn't you wake me? How long were you up for?"

"I wanted to let you sleep in," Harry said. "I would've woken you if I had to go to the hospital right away. And I've been up since midnight."

"Oh," Zain stared down at Harry's belly. "Did you call your mid-wife? What'd she say?"

"She's on holiday," Harry explained, "so we have to go into the hospital."

"Oh," was all Zain could say. "When did she say to go in?"

"When the contractions get around 10 minutes apart." Harry said.

"Well how far apart are they?"

"14 minutes."

"Why didn't you wake me?" Zain frowned. "I could've kept you company. I could've helped you."

"Baby," Harry chuckled, "it's fine. I'm fine. You didn't miss anything important. Besides, I've been updating my Instagram story the whole time and I've been talking to Gemma. We'll be fine."

"I know." Zain kissed Harry's lips.

"Zain?" Harry called. "We need to get to the hospital now."

"Okay! Let me get the bag." Zain said hurriedly, grabbing his and Harry's phone, his keys and the hospital bag. It held all of the babies clothes along with Harry and Zain's clothes and a couple other necessities. Zain quickly slipped on some slides and helped Harry into his shoes.

"Are you excited?" Harry asked.

"Kind of," Zain smiled. "I'm more nervous than anything — this is my first time being a dad."

"Mine too," Harry gasped as another contraction washed over. Zain helped him into the back of the car, climbing in with him and told the driver the hospital address.
