When we entered the house, I heard someone stomp up the stairs aggressively, I smirked, I sat down at the dinner table talking to Aiden waiting for her to come out.

"Where is she?" I asked Aiden, he shrugged "I guess she knows we're here" he assumed. "It's been a while now though, is she ever going to get out of her shell?" I scoffed, "I have a feeling that she's talking about our plans" he said.

Aiden and I noticed a figure at the stairs and smiled at her, then my dad spoke up "Sorry for coming on such short notice. Aiden told us Ben, Y/n, him, and your daughter have been fast friends, and so we wanted to come and introduce ourselves-" suddenly Ashlyn's parents coughed out their coffee "Oh my, are you two alright?" dad asked "Y-yeah, sorry" her mom said "Don't mind us, go on her dad told him.

"I was just saying that we're happy to see Aiden, Y/n and Benny fitting in. We move around a lot, so Aiden and Y/n's always been homeschooled and even for Ben, it's been a while since they've gone to public school." dad explained.

"Oh, that's exciting, are you guys having fun?" her dad questioned, "Mhmm" I smiled "Yep! Especially with the field trip." Aiden said according to the plan.

"We thought it'd be fun for Ashlyn to come along too." I told him, I glanced over at her to see her bug eyed at us. "What field trip?" the mom asked, "Oh you don't know?" dad said, as they were talking about savannah, we grinned at Ashlyn acting stupid about what we were doing.

"Here" I handed Ashlyn a piece of paper I grabbed earlier, "In case you decide you want to go." I saunter down the steps. "It was nice meeting you Mrs. and Mr. Banner." Aiden waved.

"Do guys think she's gonna go?" I asked the boys "She's stubborn" Aiden laughed.

It was the day of the field trip, up ahead Ashlyn was walking to the school bus. We quickly ran up to her, "I'm so glad you decided to come!" Aiden cheered, "You made it seem like you weren't gonna go." 'We actually asked her a couple times' On the school bus, in the hallway, in the trash... behind her fence.

"Alright, everyone starts filing onto the bus." Mr. Thomas told us "We're getting ready to leave for savannah in T minus five!"
