Y/n sat on the concrete ground, sketching faces and little doodles. The meeting ended hours ago but Baji was still talking with the other captains and vice captains. Y/n glanced up and caught Takashi's gaze.

He looked at her and smiled warmly. Y/n blushed, thinking of what had occurred between the two of them earlier. She ducked her head back down into her sketchbook. Takashi frowned, feeling guilty.

He had cornered her a day after she had almost been raped.  He was just as bad as Kiyomasa. But god, he couldn't help himself. She was just too much for him.

He was glad Baji interrupted them before he did something he would regret. Takashi promised himself not to let himself loose control again, he refused to ever scare her or hurt her.

Takashi listened to Chifuyu talk to Hakkai but he wasn't really paying attention. What was she drawing? He wanted to know.

He inched closer to her discretely, peering over the side of her vertical sketchbook. He caught a flash of purple before she snapped it shut, standing quickly.

"Keisuke!"

Baji looked away from Mikey. "Hah?"

She shied away from the gaze of Toman's captains. "U-um," She fiddled with the straps of her bag. "Can we go?"

Baji nodded and gestured for her to follow him. He raised a hand in goodbye and Y/n wordlessly trailed after him. She looked back at Takashi but quickly looked away when she saw him staring at her.

Intermittent shouts of goodbye met Y/n's deaf ears. "Keisuke? How did you meet Ta-Mitsuya?"

He scratched his ear as he sat down on his bike. "Well, Mitsuya was Draken's friend before Mikey's, so when Mikey and Draken met, me and Mitsuya met."

"Oh."

Keisuke grunted in affirmation and Y/n sat down behind him, wrapping her arms around him.

When they got back to their apartment, they heard loud music before even opening the door.

Keisuke sighed and unlocked the door. "It's mom."

Y/n nodded.

The two of them walked in to see their mother passed out on the floor, covered in vomit. The radio was blaring trashy pop music at full volume. Y/n gagged and covered her mouth.

Keisuke sighed and turned off the radio. "Oh, mom. The neighbors are gonna complain."

Y/n ran into her adoptive mothers room and rummaged through her drawers for fresh clothes. When she found a pair of sweats and a T-shirt, Keisuke was already running a bath and mopping the floor.

"Y/n, will you give her a bath?"

"Of course," Y/n smelled her sheets. "She needs some clean sheets, too. Smells like she had a guy over."

Keisuke smiled sadly. "At least the crazies weren't here. remember the last time this happened they had to hear the whole," Keisuke stuck his tongue out in disgust. "Interaction." Y/n chuckled a his use of the nickname. Keisuke and Y/n had started calling their younger sisters 'the crazies' when they were about 10, just because they were younger than them and extremely hyper.

After Y/n bathed their mother, she hauled her out of the tub. She wasn't a very big woman, but it was still difficult. Especially when she started to stir and mumble incoherently. She dressed her in the clean clothes.

Y/n helped her to her feet and the two of them stumbled across the hall and into her bedroom. "Ok, momma, you need to sleep this off."

Keisuke fluffed her pillows and helped Y/n tuck her in. Y/n kissed her forehead and closed the door.
