Y/n looked out at the city. She and Chifuyu had woken up early to ride around in the soft light. They had stopped at the same overlook Y/n had gone to with Takashi.

"Chifuyu.. Everything I see now is just... purple. Like- like Takashi's eyes."

Chifuyu turned to look at her. "What? What do you mean?"

"I don't even know. It's all just shades of purple. Everything."

"Like.. literally? you can only see purple?" Chifuyu chuckled nervously.

"Well, no. It's like there's a kind of translucent purple background. It feels like I'm just looking into his eyes. I'm not sure what it means."

"Do you love him, Y/n?" Chifuyu said quietly, almost a whisper.

"I-I think so. Is that why his eyes have taken over my vision? Is that why it's all I can see?"

Chifuyu sighed, staring at the horizon. "It sounds like you love him. He loves you, you know. And he's a good guy, he'll be good to you." His voice is sad, but Y/n doesn't ask him about it.

Y/n wraps her scarf around her neck and nuzzles her face into it. They stand silently, comfortable in each others presence.

She had thought about Takashi and his eyes during her time in her room. Sometimes she wished he was there with her, and sometimes he was the last person she wanted to see.

Now all she wanted was to see Keisuke's old friends, and hopefully make peace with her overwhelming despair.

She turned and looked up at Chifuyu. "Do you know where we might find some of the captains? I really want to see them."

Chifuyu nodded and got on his bike, gesturing for her to follow.

He revved the engine and started down the rode. The two of them had barely spoken since their conversation the previous night, but it wasn't an awkward silence that filled the air around them. It was a silence filled with sadness and memories that made their hearts ache. They didn't have to speak to communicate what they were feeling.

After a ride that felt shorter than it was, the two of them came to a stop outside an old dojo. Y/n recognized it as Mikey's grandfathers dojo, wheer he and Keisuke had practiced when they were younger.

Y/n remembered him, bouncing around with energy. He was a roudy little kid and so was she, causing a handful for their mom.

Y/n felt heat build behind her eyes and she blinked back tears.

Chifuyu respectfully looked away, letting her dry her eyes. They walked down the path towards the front door and Y/n knocked gently, causing almost no noise.

Chifuyu playfully rolled his eyes and knocked as hard as he could before shouting, "Oi!"

Y/n giggled. She knew Chifuyu would usually never shout like that at the front door of an upper Toman members residence. He was only doing it to cheer her up.

Mikey opened the door lazily, holding a blanket to his chest. His hair was a messy pile on top of his head.

He was in the middle of a yawn when he saw them standing there. His eyes widened and he started smilign widley.

"Y/N!!! I missed you!" He grabbed her and held her tight to his chest. She could feel the pain in his embrace and she let him hold onto her, knowing he was thinking of her brother.

He released her and looked at Chifuyu. "And you, too. How're you?"

Chifuyu smiled softly, "I'm fine."

Mikey opened the door wider and let the two of them in. Draken was sitting at the kitchen table, and Emma was serving him breakfast.

The two of them looked up and saw Chifuyu and Y/n standing in the doorway. Emma dropped the plate on the table and practically tackled Y/n.

Emma didn't say anything, she just squeezed her tight. Y/n wrapped her arms around her slowly and held her back.

Draken stood and ruffled Y/n's hair. Emma released Y/n and the two of them looked at her, grinning.

"Now that you're out and about, why don't we invite the rest of the captains over?" Draken said, a mischevious smirk growing on his face.

About a half hour later, all the remaining captains and vice captains were gathered in Mikey's room. Although everyone was talking, Y/n could tell everyone was avoiding the elephant in the room. \

This was the firt time all of them had been together since he died.

Y/n was sitting in the corner silently, holding Emma's hand.

Takashi was speaking quietly to Hakkai. He glanced over at her every now and then, but she was staring into her lap.

Mikey came in with some beers and a few party games. He thrust the drinks into the air and said, "Baji would've wanted us to get fucked up and do stupid shit. Who's with me?!"

The room was silent for a moment before racious shouts of joy answered his proposition.

After a few drinks, Y/n joined in with their game of twister. She got tangled up with Angry, and Hakkai got extremely flustered when they had to cross their limbs.

Takashi watched her play from the corner, a drink in his hand. He didn't like her near any other guy, even if it was Hakkai. He was never going to tell anyone this, because he knew it was an extremely possessive thought to have.

But he couldn't help but feel rage when he saw her near any other man.

Y/n laughed loudly, louder than she usually does, and flopped down on top of Peh-yan's legs. He jumped, shocked, but didn't push her off.

Takashi walked over and grabbed her by her arms, trying to pull her up. "I think she's had a bit too much to drink, guys." he said.

Y/n looked at him, dazed. "Taka-chan!" Her speach was slurred, but he still liked the nickname. He lifted her up by her armpits and placed her on her feet next to him.

She immediately swayed and almost fell. Takashi grabbed her waist and steered her out of the room, onto Mikey's porch.

When he was with her, she didn't see purple. She only saw him.
