Nina walked briskly into the kitchen and clapped her hands. It had been a few hours since her conversation with Y/n, and neither of them had mentioned it. 

"I've done some research!" She proudly declared.

Y/n plopped her head on the table and yawned widely.

"Research? For what?" Keisuke asked.

"Quitting alcohol."

"What?" Y/n said.

"Well, I don't remember much from last night, but you two were talking about me and my little... issue."

"Issue," Keisuke scoffed.

"Yes, my issue. And I've found a rehab center in our area that's not that expensive. only 400000 yen(3,000 US dollars)."

Keisuke looked at her blankly. "How will we pay for that?"

"I'm working overtime this month. And don't say we, this is all on me to do."

Keisuke smiled genuinely. "You-you're serious?"

"Of course I am."

The three of them cooked breakfast together, elated. Hachi, Tsumugi and Sora appeared at the scent of food, and the family ate together. It was the happiest that Y/n had felt in a while. 

Something didn't feel right though, in the back of her mind, she had an ominous feeling this was the last time they would ever eat together.

That night, Y/n confronted Keisuke about the toman meeting from the other night. She has heard them talking about some fight coming up with a rival gang called Mobius.

"Mobius? Really? Aren't they, like, really dangerous?" Y/n asked quizzically.

Keisuke shrugged. "Well, I dunno. I don't really care. This is more Pah's fight than mine."

"Right, because you'll just punch whoever Mikey tells you to."

"Oi, Y/n, that's not true."

"It is! One day this is all gonna catch up to you and you're going to get seriously hurt!" Keisuke scowled.

"Me? never. I thought you knew that I'm the toughest of all those guys."

"I dunno Keisuke, everyone bleeds."

"I'll be fine. We'll be fine. Just watch, Y/n. Mobius will be crushed." Keisuke ruffled her hair.

"Ok," She anxiously bit her thumbnail. "If you-you die," she lowered her voice. "Mom won't last. You know that, right? This family will fall apart."

"yes, I know, Y/n. Please don't worry." He collapsed heavily onto the couch. He flung his head back and sighed. "Do you know why Pah wants to fight Mobius?"

Y/n sat next to him and put her head in her hands. "No. Why?"

"A good buddy of Pah's had beef with Mobius. They went out and got him and his girlfriend," Y/n felt ill. she knew where this was going. "Beat the guy to a pulp, then they raped his girl right in front of him. She's in the hospital."

Y/n was dizzy. "That's disgusting."

"Yeah. Do you understand why we need to do this now?"

"I-I think so. Just, please don't let anybody get hurt."

"Y/n, I promise you, no one will get hurt while I'm here."

Y/n nodded and stood. "I'm going to tuck in the crazies."

Keisuke nodded, closing his eyes.
