After Valencia, Arensio and the rest of his family left. Kristen, Ella, and Angel also left to go on their own.
Since Angel was already dressed for her date she drove straight to the restaurant.
Jason was an average-looking man. He didn't have any set features that stood him out from everyone else but that's not really the reason why Angel likes him.
He makes her laugh.
He's kind.
He's sensitive and patient with her. Angel never really had that before in a romantic relationship.
The Grand Marshal is one of the most popular restaurants in Central Los Alamos and from Arensio's house it is a 20 minute drive but there was a robbery in place which halted traffic.
"Sorry, I'm late. There was...traffic," she said
"No worries it was worth it, you look absolutely stunning," he says pulling out her chair. Angel softly thanks him and sits down.
"So how's your sister?" He asks her. A waiter comes up to their table and places two menus in front of them.
They both thanked the waiter before he walks away. "Oh, she's good actually. She is already busy with running the club and planning a wedding." Angel tells him looking down at the menu.
"Well if you're helping I'm pretty sure it's gonna be an amazing wedding,"
Angel looks up at him and blushed. "Thank you,"
The waiter came back with a notepad.
"What can I get for you today?" He asks them in a soft English accent.
Angel begins to open her mouth but...
"She'll have the chicken and shrimp Alfredo with garlic bread and house salad. And I'll have the steak with sautéed mushrooms and the mashed potatoes and asparagus." Jason says to him.
"And drinks?"
"A bottle of red wine,"
"I'll be right back," he says then walks away.
"How do you know my favorite dish?" Angel asks with a grin. Jason looks at her and gives her a sly grin.
"Because I pay attention to you,"
"Mmhmm, you just trying to get brownie points,"
"Maybe I am," Jason says.
"Boy stop playing!" Angel laughs and Jason joins her.
