It's been 6 weeks since I've given birth to my girls. To say it's been a breeze is a lie.
There are times when they are so sweet and there are more time when they are not.
The thing about my twins is that they are so in sync with each other. When one starts to cry the other start the cry. When one is fussy their both are fussy.
I love my girls but I need to sleep and take a shower. If I don't I'm going to have a mental breakdown.
As soon as I put Leonora and Rosalie to sleep I rushed to the bathroom to take a quick shower.
When I got out, I heard faint cries which turned into full on wailing from both my girls. That wasn't even a full 10 minutes of sleep.
When I walked over to them they were both red from crying and screaming. I tried everything from trying to feed them to check their diaper to rocking them but nothing seemed to work.
"Come on please work with me," I pleaded to them. It seem like they said "fuck you mom," when they started crying louder.
I felt this sense if hopelessness wash over me. I put them back in the bassinet and started crying myself.
Waves of self doubt filled my mind which made me cry harder.
I hear my bedroom door open. "Hey hey," Giovanni's voice says soothingly. He walks over and picks up the girls and slowly rocks them.
And like magic they begin to calm down and they are soon fall asleep. I cry a little harder.
Giovanni places them in the bassinet. "What's wrong bellissima?" He says placing his hand on my thigh.
"They hate me!" I cried out.
"That's not true-
"Yes it is. Every time I try to sooth or feed them they act like I'm murdering them or something then you come along after not being here for days and they alright," i cries to him.
