*****ROBBIE POV*****

Scout was in shower and although I insisted, she wasn't safe in the shower alone she kicked me out of the bathroom. Since she mentioned her sweet 16 to me in the truck a few days ago she had been closed off and I wasn't sure as to why. While I knew she was busy I grabbed my phone and made a group text to Marley and Harper.

ROBBIE: Hey girls, sorry to bug you but I need to ask about Scout.

MARLEY: You hurt her again? I swear to god Bert, I know people...I can make you disappear.

HARPER: I'm her people.

ROBBIE: Nothing like that. It's just something happened the other day and she mentioned her sweet 16.

MARLEY: Oh...yeah...that.

HARPER: I'm surprised she mentioned it.

ROBBIE: Well, someone came to the truck who was celebrating and she didn't tell me everything just said she was at the funeral.

HARPER: Yeah, not a good time. So, what do you need help with?

ROBBIE: What does she do for her birthday now?

MARLEY: That would mean she celebrates her birthday.

HARPER: Since her 16th she hasn't had a birthday. She goes to the cemetery and takes flowers to her mom and that's it. She still feels guilty.

I ran my hand over my face as my heart broke a little more for Scout, my sweets who took care of everyone else never caring about herself and being the punching bag for too damn long.

ROBBIE: Well that changes this year whether she likes it or not.

HARPER: PARTY!!!🥳🥳

MARLEY: What did you have in mind?

ROBBIE: Something simple, don't want to overwhelm her.

HARPER: Booze and Ice cream must be involved.

ROBBIE: I got the ice cream obviously.

MARLEY: So, come to my house on her birthday. Act like it's a normal night. Bring your fav booze and fav board game. Since I don't want her to know it's for her birthday her favorite game is Scrabble especially when she gets drunk and thinks she can make up words.

HARPER: So, bring our fav board games and booze to Marley's? I'm in!

ROBBIE: Sounds perfect. What time?

MARLEY: 6pm on her birthday. I'll order pizza.

ROBBIE: Sounds great. See you girls then and thank you.

I put my phone in my pocket in enough time for Scout to come out of the bathroom dressed in some shorts and a tank top. She walked over to me and straddled my lap.

"Can I help you?" I asked her with a smile as she leaned in and kissed me and started grinding on me.

"It was very rude of me to kick you out of the bathroom. I was thinking I could apologize to you..." She said, slid down my lap spreading my legs and undo my jeans. I didn't stop her and she took my growing member in her mouth.

*****NORMAL POV*****

It was the day of my birthday and I knew Robbie would have to go with me to the one stop I needed to make. I woke up early and got dressed. By the time I was done getting dressed Robbie was waking up.

"Sweets, come back to bed." Robbie said and I smiled.

"I have somewhere to go this morning so I need you to get up." I said and he nodded sitting up in bed and getting out of bed and headed to get clothes from the dresser drawer I had cleared out for him. He came up behind me as I put on a necklace.

"That's pretty." Robbie said. It was a simple silver heart pendent.

"It was my mom's." I said simple and Robbie took it from me and hooked it for me then kissed the back of my neck.

"I love you Sweets." Robbie whispered causing goosebumps.

"I love you too." I said turning my head and giving him a small kiss.

"I will go make us breakfast then we can go." I said and he nodded. It killed him to play dumb knowing where they were going.

I told Robbie where to drive and we pulled into the cemetery and he still didn't say anything as I guided him around where to go. Once he stopped I went to get out of the car with the flowers I bought on the way, Robbie went to get out of the car.

"Can I please go alone?" I asked and he grabbed my hands.

"Sweets..." Robbie said.

"Please Robbie?" I asked and he nodded but pulled me to him for a gentle kiss.

"I'm going to get out and watch you though." Robbie said and I nodded. I got out of the car and walked to the headstone and smiled.

"Hey mom." I said and knelt on the ground. "Another year...another birthday...another year I got you killed. If I hadn't picked that damn dress." I said as tears filled eyes as I started arranging the flowers in the vase that was attached to the headstone. "I know you will always say don't blame myself but kind of hard with dad blames me all the time." I said and sighed. "Any ways, a year in review like always. Well dad is in a turf war with someone and they put a hit out on me so dad hired me a bodyguard....mom, dad was cruel because he was just my type. I tried fighting him off knowing the rule but here's the thing....he is irresistible." I said and glance back at Robbie. "Mom...I broke the rules...bad..." I said and giggled. "I wish you were here you could explain it dad. He doesn't listen to me since the day you died, he always sends Sylvester to deliver the messages...I'm okay mom. I have a plan to get out, just have to implement it eventually. I better go but I love you and I promise to be back soon. Maybe you can meet Robbie next time." I said and smiled. "You would love him, he makes me happy. About as happy as I was when you were alive." I said and got up from the ground. I kissed my fingertips and placed them on the headstone. "I love you." I said and walked back to Robbie. Once I reached him he was leaning on my car door. I instantly wrapped my arms around his midsection and buried my face in his chest and just cried.
