Today was the day, everyone from the Scout Regiment would be going on an expedition.

I quickly got my gear on, clipping my gear in place as I walked out the door. Hanji had already left saying they needed to grab extra supplies.

I walked over to my horse, prepping it for the long expedition. It was a black horse, hand-picked by myself. I took care of her since she was small, much like Levi's horse except I shared a strong bond with her.

Ahmya was her name. A strong fitting name meaning "black rain".

As everyone grew ready to venture out, Erwin made sure everyone knew where they would be in the formation.

I had been placed at the front, Hanji demanded that I stay by them.

"Soldiers be ready, if we make this fast enough we will be able to make it back without being caught up in the storm. Now, onward."

Everyone was spread out, so far no flares were sent in the sky. The clouds grew darker by the second and the smell of rain grew stronger.

"Sir, are we almost there?"

"Patience Y/N, but yes we are nearly there. With no casualties as well, hopefully it stays like that."

I glanced over at Hanji who was looking at the map. Looking up they whispered to Erwin before staring ahead of them.

I looked towards the sky once more, my eyes caught on a color. Red, multiple red flares, calling to Erwin he looked behind to see them.

"Y/N quickly go and make sure everything is going okay, take them out if need be and save anyone in danger." Nodding I turned around heading to the flares.

Running towards each flare I was met with one or two titans. Easy to take down until a black flare caught my eye.

Sighing I rode to it quickly, the abnormal was atleast 10 metres. Cutting through its nape the soldiers in need thanked me.

Riding back to the front, Hanji's face was filled with relief.

"All taken care of sir. Only three deaths."

"Good, we're almost there."

We had reached an abandoned area, wildlife had taken over the buildings. Erwin got off his horse, as did I.

"Hanji, inside there is a book that I feel might be very useful to us. Int he meantime Y/N I need you to grab a book in that building over there." He pointed towards a building, at least that's what I assumed it was.

Covered in plants it was almost unrecognizable. Nodding I made my way over, walking into the building I looked around.

I found it under a table, seeing everyone on the their horse ready, I handed the book to Erwin.

We rode back home, rain started to fall. It got heavier through time, the loud booming of thunder startling the horses.

Lighting lit up the sky making it seem as if it was day.
