      Four: You don't have Instagram?

"Wake up bestie! Today's the big day!"
I tossed on my bed grudgingly slightly opening my eyes to see Alex standing right in front me holding up two different Berkin bags.
Was she high again?..
"Alex.. why are you here so early?" I muttered warily with sleepy eyes checking the time on my phone..

"Have you forgotten what today is?" She asked looking at me with disbelief.
I rubbed my eyes sleepily finally noticing her outfit, she was putting on a glittery short mini dress her hair packed up in a tight ponytail and she had on makeup.
The fashion show! Shit!
I immediately sat up on my bed, my hair all over my face as I stared back at Alex in shock as I remembered what today was supposed to be.
"Oh my god Alex! The fashion show!" I said in shock

"Yeah bitch! Remember your special appearance. How could you forget? We've been planning this ever since you got the invite" she exclaimed giving me an incredulous look.

"It completely slipped my mind babe.." I answered honestly combing my hair with my fingers..
"Well thank God I got here on time because we need to get you to the event as soon as possible" Alex said as she stood with both her hands on her hips.
"This is why I can't live without you boo!" I exclaimed dramatically opening up my arms causing her to laugh.
My mum walked into my room, a warm smile on her face noticing Alex presence before she gave me a disapproving frown noticing my current state.
"Good morning mum.." I greeted rolling my eyes as I waited to hear her nag me..

Does she like expect me to look like a princess
immediately I wake up?
"Wunmi, you look like a mess!" She scolded
"Of course mum, I just woke up.. you don't expect me to look like a ball of sunshine so early in the fucking morning.." I answered with sarcasm in my voice giving her a deadass look her expression falling at my cussing.

"How many times have I warned you against cussing? It's not ladylike!"
"Of course mum.. I hear ya, now can you please leave my room so Alex and I can prepare for my outing today".. I stood up from my bed going to open up my windows to allow the sun light stream in..
"Not with that attitude you're not." She answered sounding annoyed..

"What're you talking about mum?" I asked giving her a suspicious look..
"You don't disrespect me like that and expect me to let you just walk out on me.."
I held my nose in slight annoyance not wanting to argue with her this morning.. "mum, no one is walking out on you. And you started it by coming in here and being utterly rude to me"

"Wunmi stop it.. Rachel I'm so sorry for her attitude, she's on her period that's why.." Alex said giving me a look that said shut up.. before turning to give my mum an apologetic look.
"It's alright Alex, I'm so glad you're her friend. You're such a good influence on her" my mum said sounding grateful as she gave her a warm look causing me to scoff in disbelief.
Alex was the total opposite but my mum didn't need to know that because I didn't need her separating me from the only good thing in my life..

"Thanks Rachel, Wunmi apologize to Rachel.." Alex scolded giving me eye signals to stop being stubborn so we wouldn't get to miss the fashion show.
She wasn't wrong though. If she hadn't stepped in the argument would have turned into something completely different and I'll be placed on house arrest which means no fashion show for me..
Alex couldn't have that! She was my social PR.. and desperately wanted to walk that red carpet.
"I'm sorry mother" I said my apology sounding forced.
My mother just ignored my apology giving me a stern look " Be back before ten.. I'll let your dad know that you went for an important event" and with that she left my room..

"That was really close.." Alex sighed in relief.
"Whatever, she started it.." I grumbled
"You almost cost me a chance to walk on the red carpet!" Alex exclaimed in slight annoyance giving me a slight beating causing me to wince in pain..
"Geez! Alex.. i was the one who was invited you know" I stated giving her an obvious look.
"I see.. well why don't you just go yourself looking like a complete tosser!" She said sounding offended..
