Wunmi💕
One month later....
Everything felt different with dale gone, my life didn't seem exciting anymore. It felt like i lost that spark within me and didn't know how to get it back. My friends did try their best to help me move on and get my mind of him but it didn't really work.My parents were back from Spain, although they didn't notice my change of moods not like they ever did but there wasn't any drama at home. I went to school and came straight home, I cancelled all social events and activities and just wanted to wallow in my feelings. Every night it was very hard to fall asleep because my memories were all about him, the passionate nights we spent together which i missed so much. Once in a while, I'd go to Jesse's pub and hang out with him just to get my mind of things but it was obvious he also missed his best friend.
As I sat in my room with my books all scattered around my bed trying to catch up with school work, my door bursted open with my friends all walking in dressed in flashy outfits.
"You definitely aren't Wunmi!" Alex exclaimed looking at me with disbelief written all over her face..
"What do you mean?""The Wunmi I know wouldn't stay indoors on a Friday night doing homework!" She exclaimed once more giving me an incredulous look.
"Alex stop being over dramatic, I think it's nice that she's taking her school work important" Adeola said with a warm smile coming over to engulf me in a hug..
"Oh please Deola. Cut the crap, this.. is just wrong!" Alex replied with a scoff making me roll my eyes at her antics.."Wunmi love, you're not staying in tonight okay. I know you're currently going through a heartbreak but you seriously need to get out of the house." Demi said giving me an understanding look making me sigh wistfully.
"But guys, I really don't wanna go anywhere. I just want to wallow in my emotions for as long as i can." I whined with a small pout.
"And that's why we your friends aren't going to let you do that. C'mon babes! It's a Friday night! We always go clubbing and get wasted on Friday nights.." Alex whined as she sat on my bed.
"That was before I met dale.." i muttered sadly"Ugh enough about that guy! Wunmi you need to stop dwelling on the fact that he's gone and live your life! Please love, I want my Wunmi back. The fun one, not this depressed and upset one" Demi scolded with a slight frown causing Alex to nod her head in agreement.
"You really wanna go clubbing with us?" I asked turning to look at Adeola.."I know it's not really my scene but if it's to stop you from being so depressed and happy again then yeah I'm in.." she replied with a supportive smile..
I looked at all my friends as they keenly watched my expression as I decided whether or not to go clubbing with them.. Blowing a soft breath I gave in giving them a slight shrug.
"Okay.. fine I'll go clubbing with you guys.""Yesss! Okay babes, get up and let's find you something hot and pretty to wear" Alex said in excitement as she got up in a rush opening to my wardrobe.
Demi gave me a soft smile as he gave me a peck on the cheek. "I promise tonight you'll have a lot of fun.."
"Thanks Demi.""If you need me, I'll be in the car.. you guys get ready" he said with a wink before leaving my room.
Adeola and i sat patiently on the bed as we watched Alex go through my clothes searching for the perfect outfit for tonight..
"Guys what do you think of this dress?" She asked holding up a latex mini red dress with puffy lacy sleeves.
"Errm no, it's too tight.." i replied scrunching up my face in distaste.
"Okay.. what about this?" She asked holding up black leather shorts and a silver colored corset top."Hmm I like that one.." I replied with a nod.
"Good, then you're wearing this tonight.." she replied handing the outfit to me.
"What're you going to do about your hair though?" Adeola asked her eyes raking over my unkept hair.
I haven't gotten to making them into braids ever since dale left, the urge to be pretty just didn't seem fun to me anymore so i just left my natural hair to run wild and free which sometimes wasn't the best idea cos it gets really hard to comb at times.
