Chapter Twelve

                 Twelve: Cinnamon Buns.

Dale was still out and wasn't back yet and i couldn't help but miss him greatly as i moped about in my room wondering when he would be back. Alex suggested we all went out to this Chinese restaurant not that far from the house for lunch and i needed to leave my room and wandering thoughts as soon as possible.

My outfit were washed up blue jean shorts, a white corset top and air Nike's as i stood outside on the porch waiting for the rest of my friends to be ready so we can all leave. Jesse came out of the house looking nice and smelling fresh as he noticed me flashing me a soft smile.
"Hey buttercup, I see you're ready" he commented gesturing to my outfit.
"Yeah, I really need to get out of the house" i answered pushing back my braids from covering my eyes with my hands.

"Missing dale?" Jesse asked teasingly giving me a smirk..
I bit my lip in a shy smile before answering him " something like that.. do you know who exactly he went to see?" I asked
"Nah.. Dale sometimes can be very secretive, he's my best friend but there are some things i really don't know about him" He answered with a shrug.
Jesse's answer just made me overthink harder because then I have no idea who he really went to see and I deeply wished it wasn't a girl.
"Does Alex have a boyfriend?" Jesse asked, his question sincerely taking me off guard as I turned to look at him in slight shock.

"No she doesn't, why do you ask?"
"Because I like her." He answered with a smile his words shocking me.
Jesse likes Alex?! Awww... that's so sweet.
"Wow, really?"
"Yeah.. we danced at last night's party and I don't know but I just felt really connected to her. She has this sparkle in her eyes that gets me excited." He confessed happily sighing softly as I smiled sweetly at him.
Alex will die of excitement if I told her this, most of the guys she's been with were trashy or crazy. Jesse is a good guy.

"Aww, do you plan on telling her anytime soon?" I asked curiously
"Nah, she wouldn't go for a guy like me..." he said disappointedly confusing me.
Why would he think that?! He's so perfect for her.
I was about asking why he'd say that when Alex came out cutting our conversation short.
"So, who's driving us to the restaurant?" She asked
"Let's just take my rover." I answered giving Jesse a second look before turning back to look at my friend.

Dale.
Last night was amazing, the best sex of my life and i wanted more of that with wunmi. I've always dreamt of how it'd feel to touch her, to have her and it was much more better than I'd ever imagined. My lips quirked up in a smile as I remembered how shy she looked this morning waking up next to me.
She was just too cute.
My thoughts were cut off by the smell of a very familiar scent I recognized all too well. Raising my eyes to meet who it was, I turned only to be met with hazel eyes staring right back at me a soft smile on her face as she walked closer to me as I took in every new detail about her. She had changed, I could see it. She looked much more matured and radiant but I could see the tired bags underneath her eyes which she tried to hide with makeup.

Soon enough she was standing right in front of me, her outfit a yellow frilly sundress with soft ballet flats as her blonde hair fell down her shoulders in soft waves.
"Hey Dale." She said her voice soft and sounding warm matching with the smile on her face as we both stared at each other.
"Hey Ariana" I answered.
The smile still on her face as she crouched low taking her seat next to me on the grass, as she pushed a strand of her blonde hair to the back of her ear still staring at me.
"You finally decided to see me.." she muttered
"How're you?" I asked not wanting to give a reply to her statement.

"I'm alright, what about you?" She asked
"I'm fine.. Ariana look I'm sorry i cut off from you like that but I need you to understand that I had valid reasons to do that." I explained honestly holding her stare as I watched her smile in understanding confusing me a bit.
"It's fine dale, I'm just glad that you're back. I've missed you" she said moving closer giving me a kiss on the cheek.
I gave a soft sigh to that before answering her " I'm not back ari, I'm just here for a while. I only wanted to check up on you, I saw the news and you didn't look so well."
