   Fifteen:A knock from the past.

Dale.
The doorbell rang and i quickly ran out of the kitchen, checking myself one last time in the full mirror, adjusting myself and trying to make my hair look perfect. Fully okay with how I looked i walked towards the door pulling it open to see Wunmi in a pink tank top and skinny jeans with simple sneakers, a bright furry pink purse in one hand her light brown colored braids packed in a tight bun on top of her head.

She immediately stepped in hugging me smelling really expensive like strawberries with an excited smile on her face.
"Hey dale." She said redrawing from the hug
"Hi pumpkin, wasn't expecting you until really later.." I said a bit surprised that she was early.
"Yeah, I didn't go straight home from school. I stopped by Alex's house and she drove me here" she explained walking into the living room taking her seat on the couch.
"Oh I see.. you look really nice by the way" I complimented her making her blush shyly.

"Thanks.. So where's your new phone?" She asked excitedly
"Oh.. hold on" I said reaching into my pocket and bringing it out handing it over to her..
"Wow, it's so shiny.." she said in excitement causing me to chuckle at her expression.
"Yeah, I hardly use it. After I called you I just dropped it down on the kitchen counter and took a nap" I said with a shrug causing her to gasp in disbelief at that.
"I'm downloading Instagram, you my dear are way too in the past" she said with a giggle as she scrolled away on my phone..
"I'll be right back" I said kissing her on the cheek and walking into the kitchen to get her something to drink.

Coming back out with strawberry flavored smoothie which I knew she liked a lot, I noticed her taking pictures of herself with my phone.
"Pumpkin what're you doing?" I asked with an amused smile on my face.

"Beautifying your phone with pictures of muah." She said proudly gesturing to herself.
"I see.." I said with a deep chuckle as I handed her the strawberry smoothie.
"Yup, look I made one of my selfies your wall paper.. don't you just love it?" She stretched out her hand showing it to me, her pretty face shown brightly on my phone screen making me smile.
"Yeah I do, you look pretty love.." I said with a smile hugging her close to me..
"You know what sweetie, let's take selfies together.. I mean so your gallery won't be so dry" she suggested giving me a cute little pout causing me to chuckle nodding my head in agreement.

"Okay I guess, I just hope i don't look like a complete bum in it." i added with a shrug which she giggled in reply to that.
"Oh I doubt that.." she said with a small smirk raising up my phone as she leaned into me her face on my shoulder with the front camera on as she took a picture.

Raising her head off me, she immediately clicked on the screen to check the picture as she pouted in slight disappointment causing me to smile amusingly at her antics.
"Daleee, you closed your eyes in this one" she whined, her whines causing me to laugh.
"I'm sorry pumpkin, let me try again.." I apologized bringing her closer to me as I hugged her close, my arms wrapped around her.

We tried again, as i watched her switch on the front camera. She rested her head on my shoulders as she smiled so beautifully causing my lips to quirk up in a small smile at that and before I realized it she took the picture. She opened it up and squealed in excitement at the end results.
"I love it!"
I leaned closer staring at the screen as i smiled softly at the picture. Wunmi looked beautiful with her head on my shoulder snuggled really close to me.
"I'm so airdropping this to my phone and posting it on my feed." She squealed happily causing my eyes to widen in slight fear at that.
"Wunmi you can't post that picture!" I snapped immediately, as she turned to look at me in surprise.

Regaining my composure, I took a deep breath afraid that I'd upset her.. "I mean, I just want it to be something personal between just the two of us.."
She straightened up, her face blank of emotions as she stared at the picture.
"Oh.." was her reply as i watched her blow a soft breath.
"Pumpkin, I didn't mean to upset you like that. I just.. i don't really like getting my picture taken and I did that with you and I wanted it to be something special, you know just the two of us..." I explained honestly hoping she'd understand.
"You don't like taking pictures?" She asked with a slightly confused expression on her face.
"Yeah.. it's a long story and maybe one day if there's time I'll tell you why.." I answered.
