Dave's alarm started beeping repeatedly which woke Dave up. He groaned and hit the alarm clock until it stopped. Dave sat up and rubbed his eyes.
"Today is going to be my first day working full time at the diner" Dave said excitedly. He threw on a shirt and walked downstairs to see his father eating some toast in the kitchen.
"Good morning dad" Dave said but Henry didn't reply.
"Are you going to eat anything?" Henry asked and Dave shook his head.
"David this is your fourth day of skipping breakfast" Henry continued.
"Stop calling me David" Dave replied and crossed his arms. Dave opened the cupboard and grabbed a white mug with a simple illustration of an eggplant on it. Dave walked over to the coffee making and turned it on.
"I have a job interview with a guy named Jack Kennedy" Henry said placing his plate next to the sink.
Dave questioned if it was the man he saw at the diner last night and asked "is a bald white man?"
"Yes, but why do you ask?" Henry asked.
"Oh I know him from the other night" dave exclaimed.
"Dave, when taking orders from customers stop having conversations with them. You might get a reputation for being 'annoying' and a 'bad employee'"
"I know" Dave sighed.
"Good boy" Henry said. Dave sipped his coffee then asked
"What time do I have to be at work?"
"10am" Henry replied and left the room. Dave let out a long sigh and then took another sip of his coffee.
...
"Peter!" Dee exclaimed and ran towards her brother.
"Good morning Dee! Did you have fun while I was at work?" Peter asked kneeling down to Dee's level.
"Yes! Jack and I went to Fredbear's and saw the special show!" Dee said jumping up and down.
"And guess who got a job interview?" Jack said approaching his brother.
"No way" Peter replied.
"Yep! I have an interview with Henry at 10" Jack said confidently and Peter got up and hugged him.
"See I told you!" Peter said and Jack smiled.
"I haven't gotten the job yet!" Jack said.
Time skip to 10am
Henry sat in office waiting for Jack to arrive. He was rereading his application papers out of boredom. He heard a knock at his office door and looked up.
"Come in" he said emotionless and heard the door open. There stood a bald white man with a white shirt tucked into some flared black pants.
"Right on time Jack, please take a seat" Henry said and Jack sat down in the chair opposite of Henry.
"I've read your application, you seem trust worthy. Just one question, why did you want this job?" Henry asked and Jack looked down before answering.
