Jack shut the door slowly in an attempt to not wake Dee up. He had been a little distressed because Dave didn't show up for work, he had always come to work, sick or not. It was definitely out of the ordinary for Dave to not show up to work without saying anything.

"Hello Jack" Peter said when he saw his brother enter the living room.

"Hi Peter" Jack replied, there was an awkward silence between the two Kennedy brothers.

"How was work?" Peter asked and Jack sighed before he responded "Dave didn't show up at work, it worries me because he's always at work, if he's not he would say something" Jack said and Peter shrugged.

"I'm not a big fan of Dave" Peter remarked and Jack crossed his arms.

"He's nice, besides his home life probably sucks from stories he's told about Henry" Jack said.

"One time he could barely stand because of something Henry did" Jack continued and Peter got a concerned look on his face.

"Is he ok?"

"Yeah, sometimes I think he forgot about the whole incident" Peter's concerns only grew bigger.

"Hmm ok maybe I shouldn't judge him so harshly" Peter said, Jack nodded.

"I'll call him to see if he's ok" Jack said and walked over to the kitchen where the landline was. He dialled Dave's number and waited for someone to pick up...nothing. He tried again but still no answer.

"He's not picking up" Jack said and he began to worry even more. Peter got up from the couch and tried to reassure his brother that he was fine.

"He's probably asleep" Peter said but it didn't help Jack.

...

Dave blinked a few times before he properly woke up. He looked up at the clock that was across the room. 3:23 he read. He frowned the shivered when he realised how cold he was.

"Couldn't even give me a blanket" Dave mumbled and looked over at his father, who was asleep. Dave got up from the couch and quietly made his way to the door, he tried his best to be quiet and succeeded. Once Dave had shut the Door He let out a sigh of relief.

He made his way down to the lobby where there was a line of phone booths.

"Maybe I could call sportsey, if he's awake" Dave said and walked up the one of the phone booths. To his luck the phones were free to use. He proceeded to dial in his friend's number and waited as the phone rang.

...

Jack couldn't sleep, he was stressed about what could of possibly happened to his friend, or where he could possibly be. Jack got out of bed and headed downstairs, he thought some tv might get things of his mind. He sat down on the couch and was about to turn the tv on when he heard the phone rang. Jack got up and went to the kitchen to answer.
