Henry never told Dave his experiment was, but Dave had mostly forgotten about the whole incident. The effects had worn off so he didn't really get bothered about it. Occasionally he slept through his alarm but he figured it was probably just because he stayed up late, not the ejection.

"David, we'll going on a business trip tonight, pack your bags" Henry said, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Why do I have to go?" Dave asked, he really didn't want to leave his hometown.

"Your the co-owner, remember? You own half of this business so you have to come" Henry explained in angry tone.

"Right, sorry" Dave said and rubbed the side of his arm.

"We'll be going to vagus, don't spend your money on gabling, you hear me?" Henry said but Dave didn't answer.

"Do you hear me?" Henry said more sternly and Dave nodded as he backed up a bit from his father. Henry walked out of the room and Dave sighed.

"Hey dad, I'm just going to go for a walk" Dave announced to his father in the other room, he didn't get a reply but Dave knew he heard it.

"I'll pack my bags later" Dave said as he left the house. Once Dave's house was out of sight Dave took out a cigarette and lighter out of his pocket. He had smoking last month, he knew if Henry found out he would be in big trouble but he didn't care.

(Please don't smoke guys it's not good for you)

Dave put the cigarette in his mouth and lit it with his lighter, he covered the lighter with his other hand so the wind wouldn't blow out the flame. He continued to walked down the street, a few people looked at him oddly but he didn't care.

As he walked he saw Jack and Dee outside the store, Dave was going to say hi but he realised Jack probably wouldn't like him anymore if he found out Dave smoked. Dave quickly turned the other way and sped walked away.

"Dave!" He heard Jack call out but he just kept walking and pretended he couldn't hear Jack. Once he was out of sight Dave let out a long sigh, some smoke coming out of his mouth as he did so.

"Damit I'm pathetic" Dave said as he threw the cigarette on the concrete and put it out with his foot. He felt a few tears fall down his face and he quickly wiped them with his arm.

"I should probably get back home and pack" Dave said and he shoved his hands in his pocket and started to walk home. He opened the door and walked upstairs without telling his father he was home. He got his suitcase and packed a nice suit and some casual clothes. He put one of his favourite books in, his pocket knife and a packet of cigarettes in.

"Cross fingers dad doesn't go through my bag" Dave said as he zipped up his bag. Dave flopped on his bed and stared at his ceiling. You should probably tell Jack you're going away for a day or two Dave jumped off his bed at the thought and ran down stairs.

"Hey dad can I make a quick call?" Dave asked entering into the lounge room where his dad was reading.

"What for?" Henry asked and Dave started to feel butterflies stir up in his stomach.
