It's adorable

"H-how'd you do that?" He asks me, I ignore him and grab a note book out of my bag to doodle in until class is over. Corey having finished helping another student, made his way back over to us.

"You're supposed to be working on the beginning sections of the coding game," he tells me sternly.

I simply turn my computer to face him, showing that I finished everything already and get back to doodling. The next twenty minutes consist of Victor and Corey whispering about how I fixed Victors code and Gabe cussing beside me trying to complete the game; they all tried to start a conversation with me at some point but I continued ignoring them.

After class was over Victor told me that we had the next class together and walked me to the correct room. Walking in, I note that Doc isn't there yet and move to sit beside Silas, they'd probably move if I didn't sit with them anyways.

"Hello Aggle, how are you today?" Silas questions me after I sit down and Victor takes the seat on my other side.

"Eímai kalá esý?" I respond in Greek causing a groan to erupt from him and me to giggle. (I'm well, and you?)

"Ángele mou eímai polý kalýtera tóra pou se vlépo," he tells me making me roll my eyes at him. Sean picks that moment to enter the room and I look up at him waiting for him to start teaching. He smiles at me before walking to the board. (My angel, I am so much better now that I see you)

"Alright everyone, today we are going to get in groups of three, we aren't going to start fully learning the language yet but instead I want you all to write down everything you know about Japan as a country, Japanese as a language, and Japanese culture. Please spend class today writing down everything you can think of about these things then turn in your papers once class is over. Make sure everyone in your group puts their name on the paper," Sean claps and immediately walks over to us, pulling up a chair and not saying anything.

I sigh and pull out a blank sheet of paper before beginning to write. Putting down all of our names on the paper, I start making a list of things about Japan. Victor and Silas remain quiet most of the time looking over my shoulder as I write, once they realize that I could literally write for the rest of class and not be done they start randomly blurting things out. I write down everything they say and continue in silence.

Half way through class and on my third paper, Doc grabs my pencil preventing me from writing further. I look up at him slightly lost, I was so in the zone.

"I think you guys have enough," he tells me amused by something, "You can have free time the rest of class."

I shrug and pull out my mini stapler and staple the pages together neatly and in order before sliding them across the table to Sean who is still sitting there just watching me. Shouldn't he be, I don't know... teaching?

I hear someone trying and failing to conceal a laugh beside me and turn to Victor, "What?" I frown.

"Your stapler," he laughs.

I frown again and get my stapler out looking at it, I'm not sure what is so funny about it. Inspecting it, I come up short on reasons to laugh and look at Silas questioningly wanting an answer.

Silas only chuckles and I turn back to Victor, "What?" I ask again.

"It's adorable," he says, "seems fitting for you."

I shrug and put it away, my stapler isn't adorable, its scary, there's a bear on it. I put my head down on the table like I did in my first class and wait for the bell to ring.

The bell rings and Silas walks me to my next class, against my will but whatever. Walking in I realize the room is empty so far and turn to send a questioning look towards Silas only to see that he walked away already.

I go to sit down near the front when the door opens and in walks Nathan and Kota, they both smile before sitting on either side of me.

"Where is everyone?" I question.

"It's just the three of us, Mr. B will be here soon," Nathan says.

I nod and we sit in awkward silence until the door opens again revealing our oh so lovely music teacher.

"Good, everyone is here," he states, walking to the front of the room.

"This class was supposed to be introduction to the musical arts, but since our class is so small, we are going to change up the class and make it a free period/study hall, any objections?" he questions, when no one speaks up he nods and walks to the computer to start some work, I assume.

My other two mates pull out their laptops and start working as well. I huff and pull out my phone, finally checking my emails. I open it up and see that one person has applied for the dance fitness instructor position which makes me smile, checking their resume and other information they sent me, I run their background check... using a fully legal system (not)

When it comes up clean I send them interview times and wait for them to follow up. After that I respond to a few miscellaneous emails and I don't have much else to do for the day, not having been assigned any homework yet. I pull out my notebook again and start doodling.

"Nothing to do?" Bashful questions.

"Nope, I got like eight weeks a head on my work this weekend so..." I shrug bored.

"Eight weeks? I can't imagine being that far a head on this stuff, something new always pops up, you know?"

I nod.

"Why'd you get so far ahead?" he questions.

"I had a lot on my mind," I give him a look, "And I didn't want to think about it so I did work."

With that it was silent again, the only sounds in the room being the clicking of keyboards. I spend the rest of the class period drawing and mind linking my friends to ask how their classes are going.

After the bell rings, I'm relieved knowing it's lunch, I go outside to search for my friends, finding them at a picnic table under some trees.

"Wassup losers," I laugh as I sit down beside Wil.

"Oh you know the usual, hating everyone and everything," Drake responds making me laugh.

Wil hands me my lunch box that he took this morning and I pull out the cookies from home ec.

"What are those?" Danny questions.

"Cookies," I look at him blankly.

"You know what I meant," he rolls his eyes at me and I laugh noting that all fourteen of my mates have opted to eat lunch at the tables behind ours.

"My group in home ec made them before I got there and demanded I still take a share, I figured you all would like them but if my little brother feels like being a dick today, maybe I'll just put them away," I said teasing.

We all laugh as I put the bag of cookies on the table for them to grab whenever they want some. Opening my lunch, I get about three fourths of the way through my sandwich before I'm full.

I put the sandwich down and Wil notes how much I've eaten, leaning over into my ear, "Can you finish the sandwich for me please?" he asks and I nod, I should have assumed he would make me finish it he is always so concerned about my health and eating habits.

It takes me a while but I finish the sandwich and we all hang out for the rest of the lunch period, joking around and talking. At the end of lunch, Silas walks up to our table, "Angele, we have biology together, let's go I'll show you where," he says simply, grabbing my book bag and walking away.

I huff before getting up and jogging a little to catch up with him. Two more classes and a club, two more classes and a club. Then I can go home.
