I walk to my next class with Gabe. We didn't really talk all too much but he did claim my hair, whatever that means.
Walking in I immediately spot Corey and go to give him a smile but he looks down too fast to see. Confused, I walk to my seat between Gabe and Victor, only to see Victor already there working on a new code.
Once the bell rings Corey begins, "Alright class, today I have printed out instructions on how to build your own code, don't worry it isn't too hard. Your goal today is simply to start work on it and the full code will be due next Friday. Of course, those of you who have background knowledge in coding, have different assignments," he says as he begins passing out papers.
He quickly hands me a sheet of paper that essentially says to make a code that will do something. Yeah, it was super vague. Before I can question him on it, he's gone.
I furrow my eyebrows and turn to Gabe who shrugs at me, I huff and turn to Victor.
"Pick a random person," I tell him.
"What?"
"I said pick a random person," I state flatly.
"Why?" he continues to question me and I shush him, giving him an expectant look, "Oh, I don't know... Brandon?"
"Okay, got it," I turn back to my computer before turning around to see a random girl behind me.
"Hi," I smile.
"Umm, hi?"
"Can you give me a random crime or just like something bad?" I question.
"Why?" she asks and I just shrug.
"Oh, okay, mass murderer?" she says, I nod in thanks and turn around again.
It takes me less than five minutes to write a code that quickly googles things, altering the google search engine results. Running the program it takes about five more minutes for the first thing you see when googling Brandon Henshaw to be 'Brandon Henshaw mass murderer?' I laugh and raise my hand.
"Yep?" Corey looks uncomfortable talking to me after trying very hard to answer literally every other person in the room and ask every other person if they need help before finally walking in my direction.
I huff and glare at him in disappointment, "I'm done."
"Okay, let me see," he says quietly and I turn my code to face him.
He quickly skims through it before laughing loudly.
"Why?" he questions me, less awkward now.
I point to Victor, "He said Brandon," then I gesture to the girl behind me, "She said mass murderer, congratulations you're the twin to a psychopath."
He laughs shortly before looking at me again. I give him a serious face and instead of talking it out or anything he just walks away. Walks away! Ugh.
I sit there silently glaring into space for the rest of the period. Finally the bell rings and I wait for everyone to leave. Corey tries to leave with the last student but I grab his arm and pull him back. I slam the door and stand in front of it with my arms crossed.
"You do this with every chick you make out with?"
"What no! Well yes, cause you're the only chick-WOMAN I've ever-" he cuts himself off and I look at him with an eyebrow raised.
"What's wrong?"
"I- I don't know, I just, we kissed yesterday and then you left and I thought maybe you regretted it or you changed your mind or it was a pity kiss or something," he looks down scratching behind his ear.
