Y/N POV ✨

Y/N - "Where on earth has she gone?"

It was lunchtime and you and your friend, Jael, were looking for Aiura. It had been a month since you transferred to this school, and you had already made 2 close friends. You thought you wouldn't be able to make any new friends when you moved to Japan, since you were very awkward and had questionable Japanese pronunciation. Luckily though, you were adopted by 2 extroverts.

However, one of these extroverts had mysteriously gone missing for lunch.

Jael - "I have no clue! Isn't she always the one getting annoyed at us for being late?"

You and Jael continue to search the hallways and all the classrooms. Still, you couldn't find Aiura anyway. You both eventually give up and decide to go back to the cafeteria.

Jael - "That woman... Let's just go back to the cafeteria, maybe she went back there?"

Y/N - "Yeah, maybe..."

You were ready to give up on your search, until you recognise a very familiar, loud voice.

Aiura - "Kusuo~! Can't we hangout after school?"

You and Jael turn around swiftly to find where the source of this yelling was. You find her in an empty classroom with a random pink-haired boy. The stoic boy was crossing his arms as he leaned against the classroom wall, juxtaposing Aiura's sporadic movements.

Jael - "Who the hell is she with?"

Y/N - "Oh, that must be the boy she tells us about."

Aiura every once in a while gossiped to you both about him. Sometimes she spoke about how amazing and cool he was, sometimes she ranted about how distant and cold he was. She probably told you both his name and what he looked like, but at this point you had both blocked that incessant yelling about him out of your head. Not to mention, you and Jael weren't really interested in high school romance anyway.

It was clear the crush here was one sided though, with him rejecting her multiple times. Until she brought out her final trump card...

Aiura - "Kusuo, how about I buy you a coffee jelly then?"

You noticed that the boy's face instantly perked up in response to her suggestion.

Saiki - "... Make it 2 coffee jellies."

Aiura - "Done!"

Y/N - 'He got bought off that easily?'

Aiura celebrated to herself as the pinkette rolled his eyes at her. Jael, however, was slightly pissed off that Aiura ditched you both to ask out a random boy. So she dragged your hand and stormed into the classroom.

Jael - "Aiura! You ditched us, you bitch!"

You face palmed to yourself – you felt bad that the poor boy had to be bothered by all this caterwauling. He was clearly annoyed, as a shadow was casted over his face.

Y/N - "Jael, calm down a little..."

Aiura - "Sorry! It was urgent!"

Jael - "Yeah, because asking out some mid boy is more important than us."

Y/N - "You realise he can hear you, right?"

Sometimes you enjoyed how straightforward and shameless Jael was, but at times it backfired for you. You looked over to the boy to see if he was alright, but his poise wasn't disrupted – he didn't seem to care what any of you thought of him. And so he left the classroom, clearly exhausted by the group of weirdos in front of him.

Aiura - "Jael, you clearly have no taste. Kusuo is like super attractive, right Y/N?!"

Y/N - "I didn't take much notice of his appearance except for his... brave fashion choices."

Aiura - "Right, I forgot Y/N is only into dilfs!"

You rolled your eyes at her statement, but your cheeks did turn a little red at the same time.

Jael - "Y/N's right though, you're ditching us after school for a boy who has antennas on his head and wears green glasses."

Aiura - "His antennas are cute!"

Jael and Aiura continue bickering as you awkwardly stand there, waiting for them to shut up. It was at times like these where you wondered why you were friends with these two; you then realised you didn't really have any other options.

Saiki POV ✨

Once Saiki had gotten far away from Aiura and her 2 friends, he stopped and leaned against the hallway wall to take a breather. It seems as if he could never escape these constant nuisances.

Saiki - 'Good grief, and now I have to hang out with her after school. I wish I wasn't so easily swayed by coffee jelly.'

He was, however, a little glad that her friends had no interest in him.

Saiki - 'Though that Jael is a little loud. At least the other one seems remotely normal...'

He was surprised Y/N never took any notice of him, considering it was the anime's tradition for all transfer students to constantly piss him off. Saiki wasn't complaining though – at least God had given him a little grace for once in his disastrous life.

Saiki - 'Whatever, I needn't worry about her. It's not like I'm going to interact with that transfer student ever again, right?'
