Back for another day out to Lorans cottage, Charlie was feeling rather uneasy and shaky this morning. It had gotten a lot colder this week and the brisk air was prickling at his red face. With a cold mist of air coming from his breath Charlie was just hoping to get into the warm small cottage soon. He didn't run into the wolf on his journey, it might be because the animal seems to meet with him when he makes his way back to the village.
Charlie wasn't gonna lie, he didn't exactly want to see the wolf at the moment. That night he ran away from that awkward situation from the animal and he couldn't stop thinking about it. It confused him madly on why he cared so much from the situation. It wasn't like the wolf was a human boy that he could be embarrassed about, it could understand human words but that doesn't matter at this point.
Shaking in a light breath of cold air, Charlie made it to the small cottage just in time to ignore his thoughts. After stepping foot in he called out to his grandmother while putting his coat up and setting the basket down. Loran called back to him, she was telling him to go over to her. Charlie had to guess that she was in her room since her voice was coming from that end.
Making his way over to her he stopped, confused about what was happening. He was in her room where he heard her voice but she wasn't there. Scratching his head, he turned around to set her food up. "Charlie! I told you to come over boy." Her voice again came from her room.
Charlie went over, only to not see her again. He thought his mind was playing tricks on him. After not hearing her voice again for a few seconds he went back out to finish what he started. Her voice called from him again, he turned around, slightly frustrated but saw her coming out of the small kitchen that was tucked behind a thin wall.
"Boy! Why didn't you answer me? Bring the food here!" The old widow angrily shouted while stepping into the kitchen once again. Charlie looked in her direction, dumbfounded. He eventually shook the shock off and followed his grandmother into the kitchen, doing what she asked, he set the food down and let her do what she was doing.
Minutes later...
"Make sure you don't go to sleep so late."
"I know, I know. I can take care of myself."
"I understand gran, but since you have been losing your memory you need to-"
"I can very much take care of myself boy! I am older and much wiser than you!" The old woman batted him away, getting annoyed with the blonde.
Charlie laughed it off, picking up his stuff he turned to make his way back to his father. The thought of the wolf and the interaction lost in his mind, the thought of bumping into the animal wasn't close to the surface.
It wasn't until a familiar sound of bushes moving did it hit the boy. Turning around Charlie was face to face with a happy wagging puppy. Without hesitation the huge puppy jumped into his face for what seemed to be kisses, but since the animal was way too big to be giving face kisses, he knocked the boy over. It wasn't painful, it was surprising though. Making a noise he wouldn't want to make again, Charlie fell over under the wolf.
The weight the wof slightly put on him quickly caught his breath causing him to cough out a few breaths. He didn't push the wolf off, he was still too shocked and confused to do anything. The wolf noticed its action and as quickly as it came, it pulled its weight off the shocked boy. It didn't fully pull away from the human, it came as far to lay on its stomach and face him.
When Charlie finally finished his coughing fit he was faced with an "awkward" situation. In his eyes it was. The wolf was way too excited to notice the humans fidgeting. Charlie pushed himself up so he wasn't lying on the muddy forest floor and stopped when he noticed the animal was still close. Still touching him slightly.
