Megan is always admired by others for her level of patience. She is always calm in any situation. She is the one who reserved and not easily get annoyed, irritated, and she mostly emotionally balanced even in the roughest times. At least that is what the others thought.
Truthfully, she kept certain feelings to herself, just as she was doing at the moment. Ever since the incident between Edward and Bella happened before he decided to leave a few days ago, it is as if something was triggered in her. Her emotions are erratic making her confused. And now she felt as if something wanted to explode. Never again had she felt like killing someone since the Royce King incident until now. Hell, even when Edward has not done anything yet.
Jasper clenched his fists as soon as he was hit with the presence of anger from Megan since earlier. Maybe he's used to getting those emotions from others but not from Megan. He always knew she was angry about what was going on, but she bottled it up inside instead of talking to someone about it, not even to her own wife.
Megan took a deep breath and let it out slowly for the nth time. Trembles could be heard in each breath, as if they were filled with burden and deep emotion. Her eyes were closed as if she fell asleep with a face that was not compatible with the current situation.
On one side there is Alice who stubbornly declares that Bella is the girl destined for Edward, and Carlisle who as always has something to say in support of his golden boy. While on the other side, there is Rosalie and Olivia who are strongly opposed and choose to believe more that Bella is nothing more than a bloodsinger to Edward. That is how every night passed, the same thing was debated since Edward went to Alaska.
While Emmett and Esme were still hesitant to say more. There is no doubt that they are indeed happy because Edward has finally found a person who has been destined to be with even if he himself has not yet accepted it. However, at the same time they were nervous and scared because Bella was only human and how they were going to face this situation without the Volturi knowing.
Jasper, on the other hand, responded to all this not so easily, because to be honest he was not comfortable with this situation. He felt the same way Emmett and Esme felt, but he was thinking more about his position at the moment. If even Edward could hardly resist being tempted by the girl's blood, not to mention himself. It does not matter if Bella's blood calls Edward more, but she is still a bloodsinger, which means her blood is more attractive than other humans. Jasper could not place himself comfortably near Bella if she was still human.
Megan herself did not know what to do, not even to say. She was indeed happy for Edward, but not so much because Bella was only human, it was a big risk that had to be taken not only by Edward but by everyone.
She is also sad and afraid because she knows that sooner or later, one of her abilities or gifts will be revoked if the existence of magical creatures reaches the ears of the Volturi. She herself having cryokinesis, ice manipulation as one of her abilities felt very unfair if she lost it, because that gift was what her father also had. As a reminder that her father is always with her, one precious thing to always know is that she has something part of her father.
