Asta in devil union wastes no time and makes a B-line for Lucifero hoping to end it early or at least ease off the gravity magic
Asta manages to cut Lucifero sending him into a rage, Asta gets sent back, flying through a wall of Edo FairyTail HQ, landing on his side.
Fio Wendy does her best to heal h/them, he sees the terrified and helpless faces of both Fio and Edo FairyTail, Beaten and battered he uses Slayer to balance himself. he groggily gets back up Asta: 'these faces, these are ones I need to protect' "a magic Knight never goes back on his word, we will defeat Lucifero, Liebe will get his Revenge AND I WILL BECOME THE WIZARD KING"
Lucifero comes crashing through, grabbing asta by the face slamming him down, He is hit by a masdive blast of fire and ice. By some miracle Fio Gray and Natsu Create some separation between the 2, Gray being in Demon Slayer mode and Natsu... regrettably in E.N.D. once again much to Happy and Lucys dismay.
They fire again sending Lucifero flying, they grab asta and run creating more distance.
*With lucifero*
He gets up and brushes his shoulder he utters one word: "annoying" and blasts off towards the 3.
*with Asta, Liebe, Gray and E.N.D. Natsu*
Asta and Liebe: what are you guys doing? This is our fight! We had him.
Natsu: you had him huh? That's not what it looked like to us.
Gray: we can revenge as much as anyone else. But how are you gonna kill something when you're not at a 100%? You said He's grom your world, how do we beat him?
Asta and Liebe calm down: we need time. Devil union only lasts 5 minutes, if we merged again it would give us 3.
Natsu: keep his attention on us and keep our distance, got it.
Asta: what I wanna know is how you 2 are using magic, I thought it doesn't exist in this world.
Gray: long story. Make it short: my demon slayer mode doesn't count, it's like my own 'devil union' I can still attack but my stamina gets cut short. And Natsu? It's a miracle he's still alive, let alone in demon form.
E.N.D: SCREW YOU!. I don't get it either but I'm not complaining.
Gray and E.N.D.: You're the only one who can beat him Asta, we'll buy you as much time as we can but you need to do what you can.
Edo Natsu fires a shot at Lucifero. Scared out his mind Tears in eyes, Lucifero charges at him with break neck speeds, all thats seen is a large cloud of dust with a loud boom
Edo Lucy and Nasha scream her husbandand Fathers name with fear and sadness in their eyes. When the smoke starts to clear, the 1st thing everyone sees is Edo Natsu flinching but still in one piece as the rest clears they see the same thing: Asta in true devil union mode taking the punch of lucifero face on.
Edo Gray and Natsu charge from behind but Lucifero punches through their bodies. Lucy, happy, Juvia Both FairyTails scream their names but asta takes no notice but if he did he didn't show it.
As Asta speaks, his voice is a mixture of him and liebe, their tone is calm but increasingly aggressive.
(TDU) Asta: Natsu's, Gray. You bought us the time we needed... thank you.
(Draft: Asta: Everyone else help anyone you can and run. This ends in 5 minutes. Everyone but Fio Gray and Natsu (both forms timed out, their bodies beaten and broken) comply they keep their distance, watch and listen)
Lucifero punches Asta in the face again, with no reaction from Asta.
(Gray and Natsu: 'what the hell is going on? 5 minutes ago he could barely lay a finger on him now he's shrugging him off?)
Lucifero punches again but Asta catches it and cuts off Luciferos arms impaling Gray and Natsu along with his 4 horns then kicks Lucifero sending flying and crashing to the floor
He removes the arms from Gray and Natsu then flies them to the others buy Lucifero is in hot pursuit, as Asta sets them down he senses the devil king closing in, as he turns around he catches an attack and squeezes Luciferos arm.
Asta: you know, it's funny: up until now it felt we were 2 beings overlapping eachother, but this? This is different: it's not about revenge or taking over. All I know now is that we need to keep living, so we're gonna beat you and live
(Draft: Asta: "we truly are 1, this is true devil union")
(A/n: yes I know, before you say it; I took this fight and based off the manga and tweaked it a bit not at all original but it's my favourite fight and moment of the series I couldn't help myself. True Devil Union and Fuegoleon acknowledging Asta are my favourite moments in the series, the 2nd being underrated and not talked about enough or at all ... crap i forgot the star ceremo that's definitely top 5 easy. there's 1 thing I ask of Tabata before the series ends: Asta vs Yuno. Every rivalry needs a fight and these 2 haven't had 1 yet, training when they were kids or showing off in front the star ceremony don't count. If you read the update chapter: this is one of those times I talked about, I've done this chapter, started 2 others and fixed 3B. I feel like ended this chapter properly (correct) and gave myself some room to work with, Don't know if or when I'll update, upload or write another chapter until then thanks for reading and have a good 1.)
