A Message to the World

Still. Red. Silent.

Scarlet dripped down the autumn leaves like morning dew.

This was something different, soemthing new.

How could slaughter be so soundless?

Almost like those who stood and watched,

not speaking up, remaining speechless.

Who was worse?

The men who shed blood of innocence,

or the men that remained bystanders?

We're all people, not savage

animals at each other's throats.

We should be there to salvage,

to fix the mistakes of our ancestors.

But also to be better.

But if we stay together as a pack,

teamwork we would no longer lack.

If we worked together to move, to solve.

Then hopefully we may evolve

into caring protectors,

not ruthless destroyers.

Just stop this violence, or it will never end.

So this message please send:

The evil may soon rise,

to destroy the things they cannot explain.

To add to the chaos, the bloodshed, the pain.

But if we get along, just for a bit,

the eart will stay together, how still it'll hopefully sit.

:)
