Chapter 20: What I feared most, has come true

The ninjas looked in horror at Peacebreaker, who waved the grenade in her hand with a satisfied smile on her face.

With her teeth, she removed the pin and rolled the grenade across the ground to them. They looked at the weapon in stillness, freezing in horror. Peacebreaker bowed playfully and giggled.

- It was a pleasure to meet you, ninja. - she said and disappeared in a blue streak.

The ninjas shout with fear, when suddenly Clay appeared in a golden streak. He grabbed Lloyd and Cole by the arm and quickly teleported them outside.

Moments later, as they fell to the ground in the building, there was an explosion that destroyed it.

With a groan, the ninjas get up to sitting position and looked at the destroyed building.

- Jesus, for a moment I thought, we were going to die. - said a still terrified Jay.

- Yes, thanks for the rescue, Clay. - said Lloyd, trying to calm down.

Clay exhaustedly took off his helmet and combed his hair with his hand, also being shaken. There was a large scratch on his cheek, that was bleeding.

- No problem.

They heard the crunching and snapping of twigs. They looked in that direction and saw knights emerging from the bushes. They all had dirty armor from the dirt and mud and had minor injuries.

- What happened to you guys? - Cole asked.

- This monster happened. He defeated us with one blow! - lamented Macy, taking off her helmet and also sitting down on the ground.

- Peacebreaker. So that's what she meant. - muttered Lloyd to himself.

- What do you mean, he knocked you down with one blow?- asked a confused Cole.

- When we surrounded it and summoned nexo powers, the monster laughed at us and said I had something better... well, then it started glowing the color of lava and created an energy wave, that threw us far, far away from the court. - replied Aaron, sitting down next to Lance.

- He's right. - agreed Jestro. Everyone then looked at Lloyd with suspicious eyes. Lloyd looked around at them.

- Okay... we were about to be ambushed. - he admitted with a defeated sigh, looking down.
