Ch.15: Mall Day

Today was finally Saturday, and I was going out with the group.

It was only 9am, so I had an hour till we had to meet up. I got in the shower and changed. As soon I finished changing, I heard knocking on the bathroom door.

"Natalie! Where do you think you're going?" My mom yelled from the other side of the door. I could practically hear her tapping her foot on the ground waiting impatiently for my answer.

I opened the door to reveal myself in dark skinny jeans and a gray muscle tank as I dried my hair off with the towel standing in front of my mom.

"I told you last night remember?" I said hanging the towel on the metal bar meant for hanging.

"Oh yes. Sorry dear. I guess I just forgot" she said with concern in her eyes.

I smiled. "It's ok."

I fixed my bed and got my stuff ready for weekend.

As soon as I grabbed my phone, I felt a vibration. I unlocked my phone and saw a text from Kaya for the group.

-Kaya: Hey guys ! Carpool today! Text me your addresses so I could head there. ;)
                P.S : sorry last minute; just let        me know if you're available for carpooling.

I gladly replied and texted her my address. I finally had a ride. Thanks to Kaya.

Soon enough the others replied as well. But only Ivory, Jen, Emma, and I gave our addresses since Anna , Nala , and Lexi had a ride already.

Anna: Hey , sorry but I'll be riding with Nala and Lexi . :( . Thanks for the offer though ;)

Kaya: It's alright! Dont forget coldstone ;)

Mia: Sorry guys, my mom wants to take me there :)

Emma: I could ride with you Kaya! :)

Jen: I'm with Ems.

Ivory: I wanna ride!!

Me: I second Ivory!!

Kaya: Alright I'm there now. See you guys soon. :)

Soon enough , our conversation ended.

I grabbed my bags and put on my converse shoes before heading out into the living room.

I set my items onto the couch and sat at the table to eat breakfast. As soon I was done eating, I heard a honk.

"Natalie! It's for you!" My mom says shouting looking out the window.

I nodded putting my dishes in the sink.

I grabbed my stuff from the couch and hugged my mom goodbye. My dad wasn't home so I know he's at work.

"Alright, bye mom, take care," I said as I shut the door. As soon as I turned I saw Kaya outside a big van enough for all of us.

"Hey , Nat, get in" she said heading through her van door. It was left open so I got in and took a seat next to Ivory who was sitting next to Jen and Ems.

"Hey Nat," they all said in unison. I shut the van door once I noticed I had everything.

I looked to see who the driver was, assuming it was her brother. Kaya sat in the passenger's seat with her phone out.

Ivory and I were chatting while Jen had a tablet out listening to music and Ems was reading a book.

"Alright, guys, we're here!" Kaya yelled as I turned from the window to see the van door opening.

Kaya told us to just leave our stuff to leave our stuff in the van since we would be heading to the hotel afterwards.

"Thanks bro," Kaya said as her brother started to drive away. He waved goodbye. I kind of felt guilty. Like why can't we bring him with us?

Kaya seemed to notice my guilty look.
"Don't worry about him, he has a girlfriend," she said rolling her eyes as she said girlfriend. "She's cool though," she said with a grin.

I nodded.

We were now in front of the mall. A big building. We started walking in to look for coldstone. Turns out we were only on the third floor and coldstone was on the first floor.

We went down the escalator going to the first floor. As soon as we arrived towards the ice cream shop, we saw Nala, Anna, and Lexi sitting down at a table with vacant seats . They waved over to us gesturing for us to go there.

We nodded and sat in the vacant seats.After a few minutes Mia arrived.

We started chatting and ordering ice creams. After ice cream galore, we decided to watch a movie.

We watched hunger games. It was a pretty intense, yet thrilling movie. As the movie finished, we started throwing popcorn to each other. We giggled and stopped as soon as we noticed a guard . We exited the theater and standed wondering what to do.

Lexi, Nala, and Anna decided to head to Macy's to try out some clothes. While the rest of us, would meet with them at funtastic park later. Funtastic park was like a mini carnival with lots of games and rides.

I've been here before only when I was like 6. I couldn't wait to be here again.

We joined the bumper cars and rode on the rollercoaster. We rode the ship that goes back and forth, going higer and higher as it shifts.

We then played some games, earning some prizes here and there.

As soon as we were done, Lexi, Nala, and Anna arrived.

They played some games with us.

I am glad to share this memory with all of them.

We then ate at the foodcourt leaving us with nothing to do in the mall besides to look around. We were too lazy to walk so we decided to head to the hotel.

We all snoozed out on the bed as were really tired from the mall. Tomorrow was going to be an even bigger day as would be on our way to the waterpark nearby first thing in the morning.

My eyes shut with comfort. Luckily, we all slept in the same room just with different beds.

All because of Kaya's connections.
