Ch.17

"Hey Nat! Over Here!" Marie says running over to a slide.
"On my way!" I yell following her from behind.
We slide down and make a splash in the water.
I pull my head out and don't see any sign of Marie. I look around for her but I couldn't see her.
"Boo!" I jump as I turn around and see Marie who pulled her head out of the water
"You scared me!" I say while laughing.
"I know!" She says cheerfully with a cheeky smile.
I roll my eyes and smirk.
"Come on! Let's eat!" she yells as she pulls out of the water running towards our hut.
I follow her to see everyone eating as we sit down.
As soon as we were done Marie and I then began running around playing tag.
We kept running then all of a sudden, Marie slipped hitting her head on the concrete.
"Marie! No!" I shout as I quickly ran over to her. She was laying on the ground with her eyes closed. I picked her head up on my lap. As I touched her head I noticed blood coming from the top.
"No!! Help!" I shouted as I saw my mom and aunt coming over.
I shook her body as she layed on my lap.
"Marie! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!!"

"Wake up! Wake up! Natalie! We're gonna be late for our flight," I hear a voice shout.

I flutter my eyes open to see my mom shaking my shoulders.

I sit up rubbing my eyes. "Alright, I'm up," I say.

She nods. "Okay, hurry and get ready," my mom says exiting my room.

I entered my bathroom as I got in the shower. Many thoughts entered my mind.

That dream felt so real. Well, maybe because it wasn't actually a dream. It was a memory. Marie is my cousin, and I'm visiting her for the rest of my vacation. She is only two years younger than me. I can't wait to see her. That memory I had, was from when we were about 5-6 years old. We were at the waterpark. I feel so guilty because now she has a scar on her head, luckily, she was alive. I don't know what I would have done without her. She was my first best friend aside from Nikki. Marie and I are seperated but almost every vacation we can see each other. Now Nikki and I are seperated and I don't know when I can ever see her again. I'm just glad I can visit my family.

I exit the shower and start changing. My group also had places to go . So, we decided to just keep in touch during our vacation.

As soon as I'm done I fix up my room and double check on my suitcase making sure I have what I need for the trip.

I grab my suitcase heading out of my room shutting the door. I see everyone else ready for the trip as I sit on the couch laying my suitcase next to the others near the front door.

It was already 4:00 am and our flight leaves at 7.

"Alright guys, let's go!" I hear my dad yell as he came out of his room following with my mom. My brothers were ready as well.

I nodded and we all grabbed our suitcases heading out the door.

We load our suitcases in the trunk and take out seats in the car.

I take out my phone and start texting the group.
Kk, I'm leaving now guys, see you in school, have fun and take care.

I plug in my earphone and start listening to music after sending the message.

We arrive to the airport after about 20 minutes.

We check in and do the usual stuff we do in the airport.

I take the window seat and my brothers sit next to me with my parents taking the other aisle.

I put my phone in airplane mode as I listen to music.
