Average Me

CH. 3:

Natalie's POV:

So many new students. I don't know where or how to start introducing myself to them. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I hope I can introduce myself well enough to the new ones.

Piper's POV :

*my First day of 2nd grade*

I'm so scared. What will they think of me? Will they like me? will I have friends? All these thoughts came running to my head. Well, I guess I shouldn't be scared because there will be more students who will be more scared of me. I walk into the classroom and notice the students sitting down.

"Welcome, Piper, " I hear the teacher say.

"Hello," I muttered as I waved with a smile.

"Please take a seat next to Natalie, "she says pointing to a girl.

I take my seat in the desk next to the girl.

I was too scared to introduce myself, but I decided I should make the first move. I tap her shoulder.

" Yes? " she asks as she turns her head to me.

" Wanna be friends? " I ask her without hesitating.

I know this seems a bit too quick to try to become friends with someone I just met or saw, but I'm just a kid so I'll just wing it.

To my surprise, she said, " Sure, " with a smile on her face. She introduced herself.

"I'm Natalie, by the way" she says.

I smile back and we start talking and get along well with each other.

*Recess*

Natalie and I were just walking around the playground and chatting.

"Thanks for becoming my friend, I was afraid you would not want to become friends with me, " Natalie says.

I had a small frown on my face after what she had said. It kinda was sad. I felt exactly like that. I had a feeling no one would want to communicate with me or become my friend. I was extremely glad to have Natalie as my new friend.

" No problem, I should be thanking you for becoming my first friend here. "

We both smile at each other and keep our conversation along our walk.

" Nat! Nat! " I hear some girls shout her name.

We turn around and see two girls running towards us.

They must have ran hard, and fast too. They were panting and Natalie and I could tell they were having a hard time speaking.

" Sorry.. We.. We're late... We had to finish.. Our.. Work..," one of the girls said.

"It's alright guys, this is Piper, the new student" Natalie replies with a smile while pointing to me. They smile back.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Ivory, " one of the girls says with a smile waving to me.

" And I'm Nikki. " the other girl says waving.

" HI, " I say.

We start talking more and get along more quickly then how Natalie and I did. I already have 3 close friends and this is only my first day.

Best.. First.. Day.. Ever..

Natalie's POV:

Gosh I was so scared she wouldn't like me. I guess I thought wrong.. I really am glad that we all got along so well and quickly too.

Our Trio is finally a... Quartet? I guess.

Nikki's POV:

I'm glad to see our group growing and growing. I believe friendship is a strong motive in life. We need good friends and we need a good life, otherwise life would have no meaning without good things.

Ivory's POV:

Ugh. Darn. School. A place where we do work.. I get kinda lazy even though some may think I'm the smartest in the class. I'm not. I'm average. I'm just your average everyday human being, and I am proud to be it. On to other things, I think friendship is great. A new member added to our group, Piper. She is very friendly and kind. I love friends . They make life better.
