Chapter 58 - A Trap

Once Sonic arrived at the dream gate he sees the Alternate-Sonic 'in his nightopia-warrior form' at the gate entrance. Sonic asked, "You two??" Alternate-Sonic nodded and said, "Yes. It's like our dimensions are connected somehow." Sonic nodded before he said, "I think you maybe right." Then a voice inside their head said, "If you want the white ideya guardian of purity back you must enter the sanctuary and meet us for a battle! Hurry or the white ideya guardian turns to white sparkling dust." Both Sonics gasped as the laughter faded away. Alternate-Sonic turn to Sonic and said, "We gotta find that sanctuary and fast. If they hurt Witnessa they'll have the advantage of taking the white ideya of purity from other visitors hearts." With no time to lose they sped out through out the dream gate to find where Witnessa has been held. Though to both Sonics surprise, they found a trail or white light. Sonic said as he rubbed his uncovered eye, "It must be from me being partly a nightmaren. Follow the white light." They followed the white light to a real broken down entrance which is known as the sanctuary. Alternate-Sonic asked, "You ready to go there chap?" Sonic replied, "Yeah but unless you forgotten I'm you." Alternate-Sonic replied with a nod, "True." The entrance opened and it revealed a staircase going down. They reached the bottom of the sanctuary and saw Witnessa in a golden cage, hanging from the ceiling. Sonic shouted as he gasped, "WITNESSA!!" The pure white ideya guardian gasped and said in horror, "Fast One. You and the other Fast-One get outta here quick. It's a trap!!" Both Sonics looked to see the door was closing before they saw Irese opening another door from across the room. He laughed before he said while looking at the hedgehogs, "Nice work getting this far. Sonic The Hedgehog. Now why don't you make yourselves at home while Mallaura continues her plan. Oh. And don't worry about your friend. She won't be waking up anytime soon." He closed the door as it locked itself up (magically) and left as his laughter slowly faded. Alternate-Sonic said in shock, "Great Grandmother's clock. We've been tricked." Sonic found the key at the other side of the room before flying toward it and grabbing it. With the key in his hand Sonic unlocked the cage and asked, "Are you alright Witnessa?" After she was freed Witnessa said, "Yes. But it doesn't matter. We're trapped." Alternate-Sonic asked, "Isn't there another way madame?" Witnessa sadly said, "Not unless your a nightmare...." Witnessa gasped before looking at Sonic. Witnessa said as she snapped her fingers, "Thats it. Fast-One you still have NIGHTS dna. You can get us out. I highly doubt the Other Fast-One can cause his dna from good-Reala can work at the other dimension." Sonic looked at the door and said, "Okay but how can I unlock it?" Witnessa answered, "Find the three letter words that contributes to Nightopia. But choose wisely Fast-One. It's tricky." Sonic said Ashe flew to the door, "Tricky is my middle name." Witnessa giggled a little. Sonic looked at the door and sees one ancient language on each side of the door. Sonics ideya of Wisdom and ideya of intelligence glowed on each hand. He sees the words: (Darkness, Light, heart, scared, freedom, and destruction). Sonic chose his answers carefully before saying them out loud as he pointed at each one, "Light, Heart, and freedom." The three words glowed brightly. Then the door was unlocked and opened by itself. Witnessa gasped happily and said as they got out of the sanctuary, "You did it Fast-One. You did it." Alternate-Sonic said, "Good work carefree version of me." Sonic landed on the ground gently and said, "It's no problem Witnessa but how did Irese...?" Witnessa sadly said, "He grabbed me and threw me in that miserable cage. I knew right away it was an attempt to trap you." Thats when Wizelight and the others saw her as Naushuo shouted, "WITNESSA!!" They stopped in front of them as Passioneta said with Ruthia, "Thank goodness your safe." Then without a warning Owl came to them and said, "Who-Who! The Nightmarens are attacking The Dreamgate." Sonic grabbed his sword and said, "I'm ready for them old bird. I'll give the signal once I defeat them." Wizelight smile and said, "I know you will." Sonic nodded before going to the dreamgate where the Nightmarens are.
