She's Finally Back (Eddie Munson x reader)

Steve struggled against the bat tentacle bullshit wrapped around his neck. The worst part about it was watching two other asshole bats devouring his stomach.

"Screw off you piece of shit!" Nancy yelled out wacking one of the bats off Steve.

As Nancy was trying to get the other off him, one of them came back and clung to her back. Robin stopped helping Steve to helped Nance.

"What the fuck are these things?!" Eddie asked while smacking a bat like it was a baseball.

Y/n didn't answer and ran to get the bat off Steve's neck. She unwrapped it and slammed it to the ground. Steve got up and crushed its head in with his barefoot.

"Ew dude...you got bat blood on yo dogs." Y/n said slightly panting after the fight.

Steve rolled his eyes and stumbled a bit. The blood from his wound was seeping out. Everyone helped Steve over to a upside tree that had tentacles all over it. The panic in Y/n began turning into another headache.

Nancy ripped part of her clothes and wrapped it around Steve after they set him down. Everything was happening so fast. Y/n couldn't keep up. Her head spun and her vision started to blur. Voices started shouting for her. It was like she was falling but wasn't at the same time.

Then there she was again, replaying that same frightful night.

"Hey Y/n are you ok?" Will asked waving a hand in her face.

Y/n felt the words come out of her mouth without her control, "Yeah, sorry kid, kinda spaced out. "

Will laughed, "I get it. You didn't have to walk me home yknow?"

The girl giggled and looked at her little friend, "Now why would I let my favorite lil goober go home by himself?"

Y/n was practically screaming for help as she watched everything through her past eyes. She had no control, she couldn't fix anything.

A crack from the woods scared the two. Y/n stood protectively in front of Will. They walked closer only to trip and fall down a small hill. Running could be heard but it wasn't from them.

"Will, run, get out of here!" Will began to protest but Y/n pushed him to run.

Y/n stood there waiting for something to happen. She made sure only to shout something when Will's echoing footsteps disappeared.

Nothing happened...after waiting Y/n ran to find Will and make sure he was safe. No one was there, leaving her to contact Joyce and Joyce to contact Hopper. The guilt ate at her for the rest of that year.

Then after months of waiting, Y/n went out alone to look again...she didn't find anything. She sobbed for hours in that same spot where his bike use to be. A buzzing noise could be heard but she paid no attention until she blacked out.

Y/n woke up in a familiar unfamiliar place. There were vines around her and one hugged her waist. She escaped from its grip and looked around for Will. After no sign of him she started to realize there was no sign of...well, anybody.

Y/n sobbed in her mind, she couldn't stop the memories. She didn't want to relive this horror. She knows she couldn't save Will. She'd give up her own life to bring him back to life. Y/n never found Will again after that night, and when she came back from that hell he was still gone... she was stupid to think a boy like him could survive all that time. She always thought he must've been alone and scared.

"It was all your fault Y/n..."

"I know..."

"Why didn't you run with him..."

The girl began to cry as the visions faded. She was now alone in a void. Nothing around her, just emptiness.

"Come join me Y/n, it's almost time..."

Y/n didn't know what it meant. She panicked and the supposed ground she stood on began to crumble. She fell back screaming.

"Y/n..."

She didn't answer, her tongue was numb and she held her breath. Just then, her eyes shot open.

"Y/N!!" Eddie was in front of the girl shaking her.

When Eddie realized she woke up he let tears fall and hugged her tightly. She melted in his arms and held a blank expression trying to take everything in.

Steve gripped her shoulder and Nancy rubbed her back. Robin asked her what happened. After she processed everything she began to explain the hallucinations and the voices.

"Y/n...Will isn't-" Nancy began trying to hold back tears.

Steve continued, "He isn't dead Y/n."

Her eyes widened and her mouth hung agape. She shook her head in disbelief.

"But...but I never felt him in the upside...and he wasn't here when I got back!" She yelled now angry that her friends might be lying to her.

Steve scooted over to her and held her hand, "He's actually in California staying with his family. They moved for a better life. Will actually escaped the upside back in 84'"

Y/n couldn't believe it, Will was alive... he wasn't dead. Tears started to fall but she smiled.

"I mean he's been in a loop for the past few years but right now I'd say he's doing really good!" Nancy smiles.

Eddie watched as the two hugged Y/n. She cared so much for the towns zombie boy...He didnt even know they had a connection. The look of relief on her face quickly turned to pain making eddie snap out of his thoughts.

Everyone panicked again, it was like the girl was dying. She started to scream and hold her head. She managed to get something out while she was in pain.

"He's angry with me..." She barely got out.

Nancy and Steve looked at each other. They stood and picked her up so they can start heading to her house. Eddie quickly got up and looked at her.

He ran his hand over her head.  Steve looked to Eddie and smiled a bit.

"Wanna hold her instead?" Eddie nodded and took her in his arms.

She opened her eyes, "Damn, and here I was thinking I was a badass but I can't handle this shit..." She laughed.

Eddie smiled, "You'll always be the badass to me Y/L/N."

Her headache went away as soon as he touched her head but she didn't tell Eddie that. She wanted to stay in his arms for when he held her she felt safe. She felt warm and loved.

"Never change Munson..."

"I won't m'lady..."
