Chapter 27: Twist In Fate

The room was completely silent and the only sound came from behind the door. Both girls stared at each other's eyes with labored breaths. Shorts were scattered on the floor and shirts were thrown across the bathroom counter. The atmosphere was blazing hot like a volcano and not even cold water could extinguish the flames.

It had been 20 minutes already and none of them said a word until Lauren finally broke the silence.

"I'm sorry" she says not breaking eye contact

"No I'm sorry. I-I got carried away" the younger girl responds with her beautiful brown eyes.

"No, I got scared and freaked out. I-I shouldn't have started" Lauren says taking Camila's hand in hers.

"I never stopped you. So please don't blame yourself" Camila replies caressing Lauren's face with her other hand.

"We-we should check on Sofi" Lauren says not really wanting to move from that spot on the bathroom floor

"Yeah we should but Lauren, I was serious about what I said" The brunette says drawing circles along Lauren's exposed collar bone with her finger.

"You said a lot of serious things today Camz. So can you be more specific" Lauren says playing with Camila's fingers

"I love you. I'm in love with YOU, and I think I always have been" Camila states in between kisses to Lauren's lips.

"I love you too Camzi" Lauren says smiling then gives the younger girl a tender kiss.

Lauren's POV

If this is heaven then never let me out of this room. If this is my safe haven then never let it collapse, and if Camila telling me she is in love with me too is a dream then please NEVER WAKE ME UP.

I can't believe Camila actually admitted that she loves me. I thought this would never happen. When she did say it though, my eyes went wide and my mouth went dry. The girl I've been in love with for over a year love me back, and is in my arms at this very moment.

I don't want to leave this bathroom at all but then again we do have to check up on Sofi and also probably talk about certain things, including my brother. As got up, I pulled Camila up with me and grabbed or clothes.

"I'm still sorry Lauren" Camila says looking at me with sad eyes

"Camz don't be. It's ok. You did nothing wrong. I'm the one who had the mini flip out" I say holding her face in my hands

"But what I did made you remember what happened with Paul" she says and I shake my head

"Baby you did nothing wrong. It's just going to take some time for me to remember that it's you touching and kissing me not him" I say kissing her forehead

"I still feel bad though" she says and I sigh

"Camz do you trust me?" I ask her

"With my life" she answers back immediately

"Then trust me when I say you did nothing wrong. Now let's go see what Sofa Monster is doing" I say giving her a smile

When we walked out of the bathroom I looked at the bed where I had left Sofi and saw that she was sound asleep hugging a pillow with her thumb in her mouth. Seriously she is the cutest little girl ever. Well aside from Camila

"Should we wake her up?" Camila asks while she looks at her baby sister

"Nawh, let her sleep. You know she was really worried about you when you went into shock mode down at the beach" I tell her as I pull her into a hug
