Chapter 42: The Return of Baby Sister

Taylor's POV

I had been away for almost 2 years now. My parents had sent me away to a private school in Spain, where I also have a basketball scholarship. I know I'm the baby of my two siblings, but my parents have always told me that I have always known the difference of when to act like a child and when to be mature during a certain situation.

About two weeks ago I got a call from my father wanting to know how things were going in school and other stuff, but when I asked him how my brother, sister and Camila were doing; he of tried avoiding the question. At that moment I knew something was wrong. When I asked him what was going on he gave my two options. He said he could either tell me everything was just fine, or I could see how things were for myself. I of course picked the second option.

I had arrived back to Miami about 5 days ago and my dad decided that I should stay at the pent house my abuela left Lauren. That day my dad hung out with me and when we got back he told me everything. From Lauren having a complete meltdown last year, to Chris acting like a complete different person. While he told me all of this, the only thing I thought about was that most of these things were happening because of Camila. I guess my dad read my mind because started to give me a lecture about how Camila tried helping both of my sibling but they were just knuckle heads. After my dad finished his mini don't put the blame on others speech, I thought back to the summer before I left for Spain.

That was a pretty wired summer, but it was also really fun. All of Lauren's friend were at the house almost 24/7 and the best part about it was that they included me in everything they did. In some way I think it was Lauren's idea because she knew I was leaving at the end of the summer. I didn't care though it was fun and it was like I was part of the little group. I remember one day specifically though. It was a Friday and Camila was going to spend the day with Lauren and I. The plan was to go to the movies and then have fun in the arcade . I also remember that Camila felt kind of bad that she had to bring Sofi along with her because her parents had to rush to her grandma's house. Either way I was okay with it, plus I didn't want to see the movie Lauren had picked because it was kind of scary. So Sofi coming meant we had to see a kiddy movie. During the movie I remember that in some way Camz and Lauren ended up sitting next to each other and throughout the entire thing they stole glances at each other and were even holding hands.

Back then I figured it was just them being best friends but when my dad told me that they are dating it all clicked. Camila and Lauren wanting or not were always going to end up together. The problem right now is that my stupid brother doesn't want to see that.

After my dad finished telling me how things were he mentioned that Camila was planning a surprise party for my amazing big sister, so I immediately called the first person I could think of and told her to keep it a secret that I was back. Unfortunately my brother is an idiot and did something to mess everything up. So when Lucy called me telling me that Lauren was on her way here I told her to get everyone here before she got here; so that Lauren could at least have something memorable about today.

Lauren's POV

"So daddy brought you back for the summer?" I ask looking at how grown up my baby sister is

"No, Daddy brought me back for good. Spain was fun and amazing, and very educational; but I missed my family" Tay says and I let out a small sob because my sister is finally home

"I missed you soo much Tay-Tay" I say in tears as I walk over to her and give her the biggest hug ever.

"Well looks like whatever we give Lauren now won't beat Taylor" I hear Vero say and I let go of my sister and look at all my friends

"You all really just made this an amazing day and I won't forget it" I say smiling while drying my tears

"Oh look the Grinch smiles " Normani says and I burst out laughing

"She always smiles. You just never see it the way I do" Camila finally says and I wink at her

"So who wants some cake?" Bea asks holding up my birthday cake

"I'll have a piece but first I need to speak with Lauren and Camila in private" Taylor says and I know my dad asked her to probably do this.

We walked away from everyone and headed to where the bedrooms were. When we got to the first door we went in and fortunately we ended up in my room. After walking in Taylor closed the door and Camila and I sat on my bed.

"So what do you want to talk to us about?" Camila asks as she starts to lay down on the bed, and I start to feel horrible. I should have never left here house without going in first and making sure her mom was there.

"Camila, what happened today? why are you covered in bruises and why is your lip busted?" Taylor asks and I know Camila has just tensed up. Taylor is asking the one question that Camz is not ready to answer yet and I know she definitely doesn't want to rethink what happened today; that is why I avoided bringing it up in the car.

"Tay I don't think we should talk about it right now" I say holding Camila's hand

"Laur what happened?" My sister asks and I know she wants to know because she has the determined look my father has when he wants an answer.

"Fine I'll tell you. Chris attacked her in her house and he raped her" I said clenching my fist and gritting my teeth

"HE WHAT?!" Taylor yells

"What I just told you. If I hadn't gotten there when I did he might have done it more time and probably killed her" I reply trying to keep calm as I remembered what I walked in on.

"Camila you have to go to the hospital" Tay says and I freeze. I was so focused on getting Camila out of there and to a safe place that I forgot that she could be severely hurt.

"I don't need to go to the hospital" Camila says and I look at her

"Camila you need to go. Chris could have done internal damage or even worst given you a disease or gotten you pregnant" Taylor says and my eyes go wide

"I said I don't need to go" Camila repeats and I semi lose it

"What do you mean you don't have to go. I swear Camila if I have to I will drag you myself to the hospital" I say freaking out

"Lauren Breath. She doesn't need your crazy right now" Taylor says and I look at Camila who has watery eyes

"Baby I'm sorry. but please listen to me. If Chris did what he told me he did, you need to have a doctor take a look and make sure that you are okay. Please baby" I say caressing her face

"Lolo we don't need to go to a hospital because Chris never got the chance to rape me. I wouldn't let him. I fought him off the longest I could. that is why I'm full of bruises. He told you that to get a raise out of you. But I never let him get what he wanted. He was about to because he had beaten me to a pulp but you got there in time just like you always do" she says placing her hand on my cheek and looking into my eyes

"So he didn't rape you?" Taylor asks ruining or mini moment

"No he didn't but he desperately wanted to and he didn't care how he got it" Camz answers looking at Taylor now

"SO where is my idiot brother now?" Taylor asks and I stand up a push my finger through my hair

"I left him unconscious with a broken nose and a blood filled face, in Camila's house after beating the shit out of him." I say

"I need to call dad now." Tay says pulling out her phone

"Fine call dad but can you leave Camila and I alone for a sec, I need to talk to her about something." I say looking at Camila

"Sure take your time" Tay says then walks out of the room closing the door behind her.
