Wilrin was already counting numbers on his head as he stared at his ceiling. It was already 11 PM, but everything he heard and saw this day filled his mind that he couldn't longer sleep! He was confused, happy, and angry that he couldn't set his mind straight! But one thing remained on his head, did David stayed the night on John?!
"Damn!" he blurted out and went his way towards his kitchen to drink some water. He sat on the stool as his right leg didn't stopped jerking. He was unsettled since the moment John entered David's car and from the fact that those two reunited just the day of his absence on this town!
But why is he thinking this way? He refuted himself, why?!
She had Jillian and everything, what was he even worrying about? John was only a past time since he was amused by the old man's ignorant character and he never felt bored whenever he was with him, John had some crazy halo around him that just by standing and doing nothing, everyone would have their fun. But one thing Wilrin liked about his company was that, he never changed. He was like a stone who didn't felt any provocation but was consistent. The thing that even pulled him closer.
He didn't knew he was unconsciously smiling but when he did, he slapped his cheeks. In the end, he was only pulled by this line of thought and in his mindset of being a jerk.
Morning came, the cheap apartment was facing east and the sunlight would immediately enveloped the place with such radiant and at 6 am in the morning, you would see some aunties and old men, taking their coffee outside their houses. They loved the peace during this time only to be disturbed when they heard continuous loud knock on a certain door.
"Hey! Who are you looking?" one of the aunties called seeing such a young fine man knocking with too much noise.
Wilrin's haggard face looked back at them, "I'm looking for John, is he here?"
Seeing such tall and handsome man like a male lead from those foreign dramas they've watched, the aunties choked from their coffees.
"John? Like that old and worn out John?" Susan clarified the question, "If it is that John, then he's there! He still didn't went out."
A smile appeared on Wilrin's face and thanked as he continually knocked on the door so loud that the wooden panel would almost break. But after a while, he heard steps from inside.
He straightened as he called, "John?!"
The knob moved and the door slightly opened as John peeked at the gap, his hair disheveled as his eyes were still closed, it seems like he just got out of the bed, "Mm?"
Wilrin finally heaved a relief, "It's me."
Hearing the familiar voice, John's eyes snapped open, seeing the young man right outside his door, he blurted, "W-Wilrin? Why are you here?"
Seeing his panicked expression, Wilrin's face sunk. Is he panicking? Why is he panicking?!
He pushed himself right through the gaps as he forced a smile, "I came to get you for work."
But John blocked him by pressing his weight on the door, "O-Oh, t-then I will shower first."
Seeing that he didn't want him to enter, Wilrin's face darkened even more and exerted force to have him open the door and because John was just a thin man, he almost stumbled back when Wilrin successfully entered but before he even stumbled with a few more steps, Wilrin caught his hand and pulled him close.
