Wilrin watched John finish every food that was given to him with such delight and joy that he couldn't help but stare at him the whole time, marking every expression he makes as if nothing could disturb him anymore. And knowing how strong the old man's stomach was, Wilrin volunteered himself to peel the shrimps and crabs to have him eat more delightfully.
After they finished everything, it was John's surprise that they didn't count coins for today instead, Wilrin used his personal black card.
"Did you already keep your coins?" John asked as he wiped his mouth and asked.
Wilrin chuckled, "Yeah, I returned it to my piggy banks." he said then turned to the ocean by the distance, "Should we take a walk to digest your bloated stomach?"
John burped and smiled with all silliness, "I could take another round."
But before he could even get indigestion, Wilrin had him rest for a while then pulled him for a walk on the bay side. This place was far from the town proper, the residence area was quite far, and only the park and some seafood restaurants and resorts could be found. Wilrin listened as John started rumbling with every thought he had in mind, he said that it was his first time taking a real visit here and to eat in such a fine restaurant was a dream come true. He also didn't think it would a festive treat by someone he just knew!
"So I am just someone you knew?" Wilrin raised a brow.
John stopped and turned to look at him with a stiff expression then said, "Then you're that extra rich, kind person I just knew?"
Wilrin laughed and couldn't help but pull him closer.
Wilrin turned to look at him, "How about we try overnight here sometime? I'm sure this place is more amazing during the night time." he said with a smile on his face as if he was already imagining it.
John nodded but a thought passed by his head and blurted mindlessly, "Jillian..." the moment he spoke those words, Wilrin stopped.
"Jillian...would also love it here," he said but he then felt the hand that was holding his tightened. Wilrin then cupped his cheeks, ignoring everything around them that made John flinched in surprise. His warm hands covered his cold cheeks as he locked his eyes on his.
He could feel his heart thumping so loud again and his lids were trembling.
"Jillian and I aren't still in a relationship," he spoke with all seriousness. "I was still pursuing her because I believe that courting is still an effective method to an everlasting relationship and marriage."
John felt the bitterness swarming around his thumping heart but he could only nod as he tried to take his eyes away from Wilrin but the man even pulled him closer that made him panicked, "W-Wilrin..."
The young man was bold and firm, "But I found you."
John already didn't know what to think or even say as he tried to struggle free from the man but Wilrin didn't let him, "I may be pompous and found me mischievous but I wanted to confess..."
John didn't want to hear him as he tried to push him away. Wilrin felt hurt but he didn't let go and held his hands even tighter, "I wanted to confess that I...I wanted to spend more time with you."
John's eyes were already red as he was pulled back again by Wilrin's gaze.
Wilrin covered both of his hands as if seeking refuge, he spoke, "I know I'm being ridiculous right now and looked like joking," he almost laughed, "But I am serious."
