"Hi, John."

John froze upon seeing the lady right in front of his door. Jillian was wearing her casual wear as she smiled gently at him, "It's been a long time."

John snapped back and took his eyes away from her as he nodded awkwardly, "I-It's been a long time."

But before Jillian could speak another word, they both heard the voice inside, "John, who is it?"

Both of them stiffened but Jillian was way more surprised as she got rooted on the spot hearing the familiar voice. Steps went closer and at that moment, Wilrin appeared behind John, his hair disheveled and face puffy as if he had just gotten out of bed.

"Oh, it's you, Jillian." Wilrin opened his eyes and sneakily wrapped his arm around John. John flinched and tried to take his arm away but Wilrin insisted as he stared seriously at the woman who seemed to have seen a ghost as her face became pale seeing the two in such intimacy.

"I already messaged you regarding everything, I presumed that my secretary had explained it to you thoroughly?" he said with his usual tone but that even made Jillian boil the stirring anger inside her.

She took a step forward and smiled, "Wilrin, let's talk it out first, okay? I mean we haven't talked personally."

Wilrin smiled, "I don't think there's anything to talk about anymore."

Jillian's lips trembled as her fist clenched and was about to approach Wilrin. She even deliberately ignored her ex-husband's presence as she almost stepped on him but Wilrin's expression suddenly changed as he flashed a glare at her that made Jillian freeze. She started trembling all over as her eyes started to redden.

"I-I..."

Wilrin cut her off when he spoke, "It came to my knowledge that you had been mistreating your employees since you became the team manager, making them work overload and do the jobs that were given to you. I don't tolerate such abuse in my company."

Jillian raised her head and was about to explain when Wilrin didn't let her have the chance, "You even bought your friends on the condominium I gave to you, men and women, partying all night until the break of dawns. I am used to spoiling those who I wanted but just like anybody else, you were just one of them, abusing everything that I gave." Wilrin spoke.

"And it's a relief that I have soon realized my ignorance and stupidity," he said.

As soon as Jillian received his message, she immediately panicked and tried to contact him but Wilrin already blocked her as soon as he found these things despite it, Wilrin still ordered his secretary to give her the original position that Jillian had in his company. He didn't want to take back everything and left her with enough resources to live a comfortable life. Wilrin wasn't cruel but he had enough of this.

Jillian then snorted amidst her tears, "And now, I'm just another failed target of yours?"

Wilrin seriously said, "You weren't. I just thought that I wouldn't keep a white lotus right in my backyard."

Jillian clenched her fist as she stared at him, "I did love you."

John raised his head to look at her.

"I was willing to give the life I had for you. To build a family." She said as the warmth from her tears rolled on her fair cheeks but Wilrin was indifferent.
