"Go make your promises," Haruto talked to both Mashiho and I as we sat face to face each other with a dagger on both of our sides

"I promise I'll let you protect your friend and avoid her as much as I can," Mashiho muttered, it was obvious that he was internally debating himself on whether to make this promise or not

"And I promise to never interfere with your work again," I said insincerely, Haruto smiled in satisfaction

"Now what do you two have to say to each other?" Haruto spoke to us like were children

"I'm sorry," Mashiho and I both muttered under our breaths, avoiding each others gazes

"And??" Haruto added, we both looked at him but he just nodded in encouragement as if we already knew what we had to say

"Aishi..." Haruto initiated, gesturing for us to follow him

"Aishite..ru." I mumbled, Mashiho smirked but it immediately disappeared when Haruto nudged him to say it also, with a heavy sigh, Mashiho said it back.

Abruptly, before I could even flinch, Haruto took out the dagger buried in our flesh as we were left in the living room wincing in pain.

"Whew, these work every time. I also use this for reconciling ex-partners, so convenient," he stated then got upstairs to his room.

Ahh, that kid. Mashiho and I would've already attempted to kill each other if it weren't for him.

It was the weekend after a long week of finishing a lot of tasks and tests so naturally I was looking for a great outlet to unwind.

"Lola, I'm leaving," I said as I tied my shoelaces by the door after I had washed the dishes we used for lunch

"Oh where to?" she asked without looking at me, her eyes were too busy with the intricate details of her cross-stitching

"Just there, I just have to get off my head," I explained while giving myself one last look at the mirror

"Okay, be back before dinner," she said, I only said yes then left,

I walked aimlessly around the neighborhood, observing people and families who were out together to spend time with each other during the weekend.

Yes, I'm happy with just me and my grandma but of course, there's always a place in my heart that's always yearning for the love of a complete family- so seeing people who have one sometimes makes me envious so I try to avoid it as much as possible.

I went a different way then came across the old billiard hall I used to hang out in when I was in highschool.

I figured that I haven't been here since 2nd year college since I got so busy during the 3rd and now during my 4th year.

Excitedly, I got in and paid my down payment for the hour rent of the pool table I was going to use.

Even though I was alone, I was more than happy with what I was doing and was satisfied that my performance didn't become as shabby as I expected it to be due to the long period of not being able to play. I was able to score a few shots as I went around the pool table.

And as I was trying to aim for the 8-ball, I noticed a man standing near me. I didn't mind him because I know he's only doing it for attention. I kept my focus on bagging the 8-ball score but when I was about to take the shot, he interrupted,

"Bend over lower," he said, with this I completely lost my patience and snapped at him

"YAH! YOU PERV-," I stopped dead mid-sentence when I realized who it was
