"...I hope everyone understands my situation. I love you and I will miss you all."
Chants started in the crowd: "Thank you, AJ!"
AJ came backstage, tears in her eyes. She was sad to leave and everyone felt bad for her, but was also happy for her and her child.
Dean and I had to film a segment to set up tonight's match: Eagle Security vs Rollins and J&J Security. It was a 3 on 2, but Dean and I were positive that we could handle it. Also, tonight was the night that every little secret was going to be told on the relationship between Dean and I and the feeling Rollins has had for Penny Eagle.
"... All that I'm saying is that we need some sort of battle plan... Yes, Miss Eagle?" Dean started to say to me before Penny Eagle entered the shot.
Penny shoved a bouquet of red roses toward Dean and pulled out a pink card. "Do you know who sent these?" she said in a some what angry tone.
"No, ma'am," I answered her. I grabbed the flowers out of Dean's hands an placed them on a table. "But Dean and I can find out who."
"No, no," Penny said, plopping herself in nearby chair, "It's alright." She sighed. "I've been looking all night, but I just don't recognize this handwriting."
"Well, let me see it," Dean said, sticking out his hand toward Penny. She placed the small card into his hand and he lifted it toward his eyes. He studied it for a few seconds and ran out of the shot. The last glimpse of us that the Universe saw was Penny and I looking in the direction that Dean was running in.
He was running toward the stage door, rushing toward the ring. I chased after him right about the time when the lights lifted to show Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, J&J Security, and Seth Rollins in the ring, microphones in hand.
Dean didn't even let them say a word as he jumped into the ring and slowly walked toward Triple H, who was guarding the way towards Seth Rollins.
"Mr. Ambrose?" Stephanie said to Dean, "May you please exit the ring, we have something to talk to the Uni..."
Dean stuck the small, pink card toward Stephanie, now a little crumpled from being in his clenched hand as he ran.
"Can you confirm that this is Seth Rollins' handwriting?" he said without a mic.
Stephanie looked concerned. She looked from Dean, to her husband, to me, and back at the card.
"You want me to confirm that this is Seth Rollins' handwriting on this... little card," Stephanie mocked, waving the card in front of his face. She couldn't contain her laughter, but continued to talk, "No, no, Mr. Ambrose. I don't think..."
Jamie Noble snatched the card out of his boss' hand and examined it.
"Yeah,"Jamie said. He grabbed a microphone from Triple H and continued, "Yeah, this is Seth's handwriting." He turned his attention toward Dean, "Why do you need to know?"
"No reason," he said with a smile. He turned around, jumped through the ropes, and walked toward me, slightly gaping my mouth.
Seth wrote a love note to Penny, I thought.
He grabbed me slightly by the arm and pulled me toward the backstage area.
"We're gonna get 'em," Dean whispered to me, "and use the love note as our main defense. That's our battle plan."
———————————-(later that night)—————————————-
"Coming down to the ring, from Cincinnati, Ohio, weighing at 225 pounds, and from Jackson, Mississippi, Dean Ambrose and Commander Beth Taylor!"
"And their opponents, with a combined weight of 598 pounds, Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury, and Seth Rollins!"
*Ding Ding*!
Dean and I stood at one corner and walked toward the center to meet out opponents. Before we even threw the first punch, Miss Eagle appeared on the big JumboTron. She held the slightly crumpled, small, pink card and cleared her throat.
"A fiery red dove enters an unknown field, scared but beautiful."
Seth whipped his head around to look at Penny Eagle, reading his note.
"Beautiful but scared, and a little unprepared."
The Universe has become silent. They all listened to Penny's reading.
"Another dove entered the field, confident and prepared."
Seth started to rub his thumb against his other fingers, trying to deal with embarrassment."
"Confident and prepared, and a little unprepared."
J&J Security tried to jump through the ropes to stop Miss Eagle, but Dean and I pulled them back into the ring. Seth stood in front of them to stop them from advancing.
"He saw her beauty from afar, but never cheeped a sound."
Seth had now started to gain pink ears.
"When she was crowded in a flock, she stood out to him."
Dean and I stood like guards in front of Seth and his security.
"He admired her beauty only from afar, but longed to be nearby."
Seth walked toward the timekeeper's area and demanded a microphone from a close cameraman.
"He loved everything about her, from hair to feet."
"Alright, stop!" Seth finally said.
Penny looked up from the paper, since she was reading it live.
"Oh, come on, Seth," she insisted, "One more line, please. Last one!"
She gave a convincing smile. Seth turned around, his back to the JumboTron.
Penny continued with the last line of the poem:
"And every time they meet, his heart skipped a beat."
The Universe was a little silent, only a few cat-callers were heard.
"Alright, are you done, Eagle?" Seth said in the mic, sounding annoyed.
"Yep, that's all you wrote," Penny said. She then realized what she said and had a moment of realization. She covered her mouth with her right hand. "I'm sorry, I thought..."
Seth sighed and turned around. Dean and I busted into him with a double clothesline, knocking him over the top rope. J&J Security rushed behind us, hitting the back of our heads.
Dean turned around and started to hit at Jamie Noble. They backed up and bounced off the far ropes. I spotted Seth before I slammed Joey Mercury into the other security member. He was laying down, his head was face down into the Marley floor.
After I slammed Joey into Jamie, I climbed on the top rope to do my finishing move, but Seth had jumped up and knocked my off, sending me tumbling to the floor, bumping my head into the steel steps and knocking me out.
