A Damn Rumor

I definately was not planning on competing in Main Event on Wednesday. My chin, after the x-ray, was a little shattered. I never really had matches on Wednesday so I sat in the lounge area with Nic and John Cena.

The doctor told me that I should try not talking or decrease my talking time today at least. Nic and John knew that, so we tried to play off of that idea. They would ask me a question and I would text the person who asked the question. Eventually, it turned into a game of what I said to that person.

When Main Event was over Paul and Stephanie came in to check on me. I gave a thumbs up, signaling that I was ok. We got on the bus to go to the town over for a Live Event, which I didn't wrestle in. It sucked watching people do the thing I wanted to do.

Dove sat backstage during Main Events sometimes, like today. We sat in the lounge area, I was reading a book and she was taking a nap. I remembered I never showed her the picture I took of her sleeping on the at the hotel in Pittsburgh.

When the Live Show was over, Paul handed me the script for next Raw and Smackdown. On the script for Raw, I was starting my feud with Summer Rae and Layla because Layla would distract me and Summer would win the match. Basically the same thing was on Smackdown, but the match was against Layla and I won that one.

A few days ago, after Smackdown, Paul asked me about that new move I did. I told him it called the Cross Drop and it was a move I did in early wrestling.

"Well, why did you do it?" he asked me.

"When I was going against Randy, I realized he had no hair," I said, and I heard Paul give a little laugh, "Well, I know he doesn't have hair. I was just thinking that if I did have a match against him, I couldn't do the UHT. So I wanted to try the Cross Drop on someone."

"Hmm..." he said, "Interesting. Well, would you execute that move more often? It sounded like the Universe liked it."

"Sure," I replied, "Just give me bald oponents."

        Paul laughed.

I was recovering quite well. Well enough to be on Raw. I was in the gym on Saturday before we went to our next city: Jackson.

Dove was very excited. "We're going back home!" she kept telling me.

"Yes, Dove," I replied with a smile, "I'm aware."

I was already thinking what I was going to do when I got there. I knew I was going to go and see my past co-workers and I was going to see my family, well foster family.

She sat in the gym with me, glancing up from her sketchbook frequently. I assumed she was drawing me. I tried to block her out and focus on getting a rhythm with my punches, but there were so many distractions other than her. Guys were in the gym, yelling as they lifted weights, girls were giving grunts as they did abdomen work. People next to me had their music on so loud I knew who the artist was.

I eventually put my headphones in. I turned the song to one of my favorites "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from the Mulan soundtrack. I always tried to motivate myself to be as good as the guys and I felt that this song resembled my idea.

I glanced at Dove every so often. Her pretty red hair was tied up in a big bun, but little pieces of hair was sticking to her face from the heat of the gym. She glanced at me, smiling, and looked back at her sketchbook.
