Chapter 2 : Oh my sister ✔️

It was my first day at LAPD, I was excited, but there was an odd feeling inside me. It's not just another day where I walk in and see my friends who are also my collegues. This time I'm walking into a district, where I don't know anyone.

I worked in Robbery-homicide back in Chicago, and that's what I'll be doing here too.

I walked over to the front desk.

"How can I help you?" The lady at the desk asked.

"I'm Detective Buckley, I came from Chicago PD, this is my first day here." I exclaimed and the officer nodded.

"Go down this hall and the second door on the left, is Sargeant Campbell's office. He's gonna be your boss."

"Thank you." I said and left in the direction which she said.

I stopped in front of the door, and then hit my knuckles against it. After I heard a "come in", I opened it and walked in.

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth Buckly, from Chicago." I stuck my hand out.

"Oh,yes. Nice to meet you. I'm Aaron Campbell. " The man said. He seemed nice, yet he declared respect by just his look.

Then,there was a slight knock on the door and a man walked in. He was quite tall, and muscular.

"You wanted to see me Sargeant?" He asked as he put his hands behind his back.

"Actually, I called you here to introduce you to your new partner. You'll be working the cases with her from now on. She's detective Elizabeth Buckley, from Chicago." The sargeant said and then turned to me. "Buckley, this is detective Connor Harrison."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Harrison." I said and stuck my hand out.

"You too, Buckley." Connor said and then looked at Campbell. "Absolutely no offense to the detective, but where's Benson? I've been working with him for years."

"He quit. Personal reasons. But I can assure you detective Buckley is just as amazing at her job as Benson was. I think you two will make a great team." Campbell said. I was just standing in the back, listening to their conversation.

"Then, let's get to work." Harrison nodded while looking at me. We walked out of the Sargeant's office.

Buck invited me over to his place. Maddie's here, she called yesterday, said she was coming to town.

After a big, emotional reunion with Maddie, which involved hugging for a long time and some tears, we were sitting by the kitchen isle while Buck was cooking some food.

I was histerically laughing. Buck tought his ex girlfriend came back, and was in his shower, but it was just Maddie.

"Do you think there's any way we can unsee that?" Buck questioned.
