Harrison and I were doing the night shift patroling when we got a call about a stabbing victim who was bleeding out. But my heart dropped when I heard the address. It's Maddie's house.

"It's Maddies house, hit the gas." I instructed to Connor who did just that. We were in the neighbourhood, so we got there in two minutes.

The second the car stopped I ran out, Connor following behind me. The paramedics were already on scene.

"Oh my god." I breathed out when I saw Chimney, lying on the ground, bleeding. "Stay with him." I told Harrison and I ran inside after hearing Buck's voice.

"Buck! Buck!" I yelled. "Where is Maddie?"

"I-I don't know. She's not here." He replied.

I looked around and noticed that her keys are still on the table and saw her phone on the ground. I bent down to pick it up. My heart was racing. This can't be happening.

"Buck, all of her stuff is still here." I claimed, he repeated what I said to dispatch, who advised every officer arriving, about the situation.

I immidietly called Campbell, there is no way in hell I'll let any other team take this case.

The whole team quickly arrived. Campbell said he made sure the case is ours. He also said that he'd let me work the case as long as I don't do anything irrational.

"It was Doug. Doug Kendall. He told Maddie he would kill her if she left him. He did this." Buck exclaimed. Matt was taking his statement.

"You said he lives in Pennsylvania. He knows she was here?" Matt asked.

"No, she-" I cut Buck off.

"She was filing for divorce." I stated.

"That could've put her back on his radar." Athena piped in. She and Bobby came here, while the rest of the 118 went to the hospital.

"We'll take a look at him, but before your friend lost consciousness, he said he was attacked by a Jason Bailey. Either of you know who that is?" Alvez asked.

"No." I said.

"I don't think so." Bobby replied and Alvez walked into the house, Buck hot on his trail.

"Wait. Hold on, Detective. I know he had a new friend , some guy he was playing pool with. I never met him, but now I know why, you know, cause it was Doug. He got close to Chimney so that he could get close to Maddie."

We all followed them outside to where Chimney was found.

"You don't believe me? I mean, Chimney's phone is right there. You know, check for yourself." Buck pressed.
