"How's your sister?" Connor asked while handing me a cup of coffe. We were in the break room working on our reports about today's case.

"She's fully recovered physically." I sighed. "And she says she's okay mentally too, but I'm not so sure."

"She's been through a lot. But I think as long as she knows there are people who care about her, she'll be just fine." Connor exclaimed and I nodded. It's been four months since the incident.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." I nodded taking a sip of the coffe. I didn't have five seconds to check my phone today, so now that the shift is done I finally looked through my messages.

I got four text all from diferrent people.

One was from Spencer asking about my day, the other was from Eddie asking if I can come over for a game night with him Chris and Buck, with Shanon being back in his life I've tried to keep my distance from Eddie. The third one was the group chat with my siblings.

"Looks like our money trouble is over." Maddie wrote.

I guess her landlord finally stopped being a jerk and let her out of the lease.

I was about to write a text back and then check the last text that came from an unknown number when two officers walked into the room.

"Detective Buckley, you need to come with us."

I furrowed my brows and gave Connor a look.

"Why?" I asked.

"Just following orders. Please come with us." The other said. I stood up confused and followed after the officers. They were walking me to the interrogation room and while walking we passed by the members of the 118, Athena and Micheal, Athena's ex husband, who I've met one time.

I stopped in front of them and threw my hands in the air, "What the hell did you guys do?"

"Nothing." They all replied in sync. Sure that's why they're here.

"Detective!" One of the officers called. "They're waiting for you."

Without a word I walked into the interrogation room and sat down in front of Mercer and Wash.

"Can somebody finally tell me what this is about?" I asked, truly clueless.

"$300,000 were stolen from a bank and was found tucked away on the 118 ladder truck." Wash claimed.

"Any idea how it got there?" Mercer asked.

"No, why would I?" I defended. "I didn't even heard about this case till I got dragged out. I was working all day with my team, trying to find the robbers who murdered a family during a home invasion. Ask Sargeant Campbell." I said in a fully calm tone.

"Looks like our money trouble is over." Wash read out the text. "That's the text your sister sent right after she took the 9-1-1 call. Care to explain?"
