TW: Mention of rape‼️

Three and a half years ago;

"It's a shame, that Mayfield had to leave." Penelope Garcia said as she and Beth walked into the conference room to discuss today's case.

"It is. But his wife needed him. He did the right thing." Beth claimed, sitting down next to Reid, and muttering a good morning to the rest of the team.

"Do you know anything about your new partner, Adam?" Hailey asked.

"Not yet." Ruzek shrugged, then glanced at the door, where Voight had just walked in. "But I have a feeling I'll find out soon."

"Am I that predictable?" Voight deadpanned, and walked up to the front of the room, near the whiteboard.

"Not at all, boss." Ruzek chuckled.

"Okay, so as you all know, Mayfield quit, so he can spend more time with his wife. That means, we're down one person. But, after deep consideration, I've hired his substitute. Everyone, meet Luke Miller. He's here to stay." Hank exclaimed as the new guy walked into the room, and went up to Voight standing next to him.

He was quite muscular, had short, dark brown hair and radiant blue eyes.

"Also, I've come up with a new pairing." Voight started, which made the old team glance at each other.

"Why change something that's working?" Beth questioned.

"Change isn't always wrong, Buckley." Voight claimed, then continued.

"Ruzek and Burgess. Upton and Reid. Atwater you're with me, and Buckley you're with Miller."

Beth walked up to Luke and streched her hand out for a handshake, "I'm Elizabeth Buckley, nice to meet you."

"Luke Miller." The new guy replied, placing his hand in hers, giving a firm handshake. "Looking forward to working with you." He said, his blue eyes piercing into her own ones.

*****

I was tired and weak. I had absolutely no energy in me.

And I was in so much pain.

Miles doesn't want anything other than revenge. He's taking his time with us. Which is both good and bad.

"We need to get out of here." I mumbled. I was feezing. My shirt was unbuttoned and my jeans were on the floor. I was truly disgusted by myself. I felt so dirty, and my stomach would turn every time I'm reminded about what Cooper had done to me a few hours ago.
