A woman with soft pink hair is slowly making her way through the narrow and dark road. She was wearing a skimpy dress that left nothing to the imagination, covered by a long coat. Her red high heels clicked on the wet pavement.

'01:08 a.m.'

Her wristwatch reads.

A dark starry sky looms above the quiet and sleeping city. She was aware that the night is not safe, especially in the kind of city where she lives.

Danger lives on the corner of every street and alley. Criminals and killers lurk from within the shadows. In her city, death rates grow as each of the days passed.

Women and children were killed every night, and she fears that she would be next.

She pulled her coat closer to cover herself from the cold and harsh wind that scrape on her skin. She pulled her hands together and realized that both fingertips were cold, she tried to hide her hands in the pockets of her coat, trying to seek warmth.

She passed by two drunkards, who are attempting to stand on both feet. Beet red faces turn towards her direction when she attempts to walk by.

She lowers her head, ignoring the cat calls that came her way.

They try talking to her, but she only hears gibberish and slurs. Their tongue barely moves to pronounce a proper word.

"Mish... woo yu car-"

"Josh uss-"

She ignores them and fastens her pace before they could catch her.

Her heels clinked rapidly against the hard road.

Clink! Clink! Clink! Clink!

Not far ahead, she could see an intersection that leads to a small dark alley but continues forward. Her mind clears on the destination towards home, barely noticing the dark figure hidden in the shadows of the dark alley as she passed by.

She didn't notice as she continues to walk on the empty street. A stranger clad in a dark-hooded jacket - revealing nothing, but white blemishes of chiseled chin and pale lips - was following not too closely from behind.

She's pretty.

She's young.

The figure sharply inhales, inhaling the smell of her lavender and flowery scent from a distance.

Delicious.

They could hear the rush of blood through the woman's veins. The sound of her thumping heart is like music to their ears.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

They continue to follow through every turn and step, then hides within the shadows when she turns around.

She could feel it.

She could sense it.

She could feel the hairs at the back of her nape stiffly standing. Not only that but whenever she tries looking back, she found no one. Only silence and darkness greet her from behind. It only serves her more fear than assurance.

She could hear her heart pounding against her ears. Breathe quickening in every beat.

She tries to play it casual. As if she didn't notice the stranger that was following her from the corner of her eyes.

Unconsciously, she picks up the pace.

From a simple stroll to walking faster to light jogs until she was running. Running away from the man who was chasing her.

Her heels made noises against the wet pavement. As she turns into an alley, hoping to lead her chaser astray, but she was wrong.

It was the typical and cliché dead end.

"No! No! No!"

She was frantic. Panic, tightly gripping her heart and mind.

Her dyed-bubble gum pink hair whips from different directions as she looks from left to right, only to freeze in fear when a huge shadow looms over her small form.

Her heart was racing. Likewise, her eyes flashed in fear and fright. Tears brimming from the corner of her eyes, ready to spill at any moment.

The figure moves closer and closer. The alley was small and narrow, a car could barely fit inside, so how could she escape?

She heard an inhuman growl from behind her. She tried not to turn around, she really did, but she felt the repulse to turn around, only to let out a blood-curdling scream when she felt them pounce.

She crashes and falls. Her bones crack and break under the sheer pressure of their weight.

Tears trailing on her cheeks. She could only feel immense pain. Her body felt numb, she blinks dumbly. Her head is throbbing from being hit by something hard, she feels something wet trailing from her temple. Probably blood from an injury.

She shivers in disgust when she feels their tongue trailing on her neck, near her pulse.

"Delicious..." That's what they said before something sharp sank into her neck, and she screams.
