"What on Earth are you doing here?" Kitty asked as she narrowed her eyes on the boy.

Dennis began to smirk at her, glad to know that she wasn't happy about this.

"Do you two know each other?" Bunny asked in a hush tone, obviously sensing the tension.

Alistair watched as Kitty's face turned fuchsia and her hands clenched into fists, and he began to worry that her long nails would break from the pressure.

"He's my cousin," she said, earning her a few gasps.

The boy began circling around them like a shark, but it wasn't as intimidating as he had hoped, because when the bell sounded for class, he screamed and flew into the air. Bunny quickly snatched the doorhandle to the classroom, hoping to help the gang escape the situation. Lizzie leading the way, she marched into room, everyone else following behind her. They walked into a room with a sand-covered floor, which provided each of the group with very different reactions.

Maddie began making snow angels in the sand;

Kitty stuffed some sand into her pockets, most likely for a prank;

Lizzie cursed under her breath about her ruined red flats;

Alistair was giggling at all of his friends;

And Bunny was- wait, where is Bunny? Alistair questioned looking around.

He went back out of the hallway, and found Dennis talking to Bunny. He had is hands in his pockets and was shifting awkwardly side to side while asking her very odd questions.

"How long have you all been friends?"

"Do you want to be my friend?"

"Who is the leader of the group?"

"If you could kick out anyone, who would it be?"

His questions came to in abrupt stop when Alistair stood next to Bunny with a weirded-out look on his face.

"Oh! Uh, Alistair! You know, we should all be getting to class!" Dennis said, and as they all stepped into the doorway the bell rang.

Everyone placed their bags down, (accept Lizzie, who got a personal shelf to place hers) and they all walked further into the room to find their teacher sitting in the middle of the sand. He sat criss-cross, eyes closed, and he hummed an unfamiliar tune. He had a many necklaces that were beaded with a variety of things ranging from seashells to crystals to animal teeth. He had long and greasy hair, and patterned pajamas.

The kids moved closer, and they heard him begin to speak.

"Take a seat, on the sand"
