In walked Uncle Garfield. He was Kitty's crazy uncle, and he caused the entire friend group to have terrible flashbacks of their past experiences. Garfield was a giant purple man, his stomach so big that it could fit a child. This reminded Alistair of Kitty's 8th birthday, when he had eaten the last cupcake so Garfield decided to swallow him whole. Alistair had to sit in his stomach surrounded my a mountain of un-chewed desserts for 10 minutes until the police and ambulance came to rescue him.

That was when it dawned on Alistair that he was going to be the new Food 101 teacher for the rest of the year. The day wasn't turning out how he had hoped.

"Well hello, kids," Garfield said with a laugh that made his entire body jiggle.

He paced around them, and everyone in the classroom looked at him in disgust and horror.

Alistair wasn't the only student that had horrific memories of the man that stood before them. In fact, more than half the class had some sort of bad encounter with him.

Any time Kitty had an event, her mom invited Uncle Garfield. He had traumatized so many of Kitty's friends, and anyone around him.

Garfield wasn't always this way, though. He had a wonderful wife, and together they had a son, who they named Dennis. But, soon things took a turn for the worse when Garfield began a habit of eating everything in the fridge seconds after his wife placed the groceries inside. After having this habit for years, his wife decided to divorce him and took Dennis with her. So, Garfield became a single psychopath that ate anything in this path.

Uncle Garfield finally stopped pacing and stood right in front of Alistair.

"For todays assignment, you will make the most delicious dish you can think of, and then I will eat it," he said with a very excited grin.

Everyone began talking about what they were going to make, and Alistair remembered that they had forgotten to have their snacks. He was too interested in who their new teacher was going to be. Alistair reached into his satchel to grab his granola bar, when he realised something was missing. He had a feeling that when the wave of water hit them, that some things in their bags would float away with it. But it wasn't just a little loss, Alistair was missing something that was very precious to him.
