"Lupa?" I look up at my father, I had been just about to go to bed, but I walk back.

"Yes Dad?"

"You know you'll have to make a fake last name, right love?"

"Why Dad?" Dad sighes, then smiles down at me.

"Well, you know how it is with me and my... furry problem, and people won't want their children around you... because you're related to me."

"Why? You're just like them, you just have an extra challenge."

"They don't care about that Lupa, they're scared and there are hundreds of them, and only you, me, and Dumbledore to contradict them, three against hundreds, you have to keep your head down."

"Mom didn't care that you were a werewolf..."

Remus sighed and looked away from Lupa, "Mom was special, and you know where that got her, that's why we need to hide you, to make sure that what happened to her..." he couldn't continue.

"Okay Dad. I'll do whatever it is you want me to do." He looked up at Lupa and smiled slowly, he opened his arms and she sat on his lap. He hugged her in silence for a few moments, and then held her away so he could look into her face.

"Honey, I know you have the anthy-whatsit but-"

"Anthropophobia?"

"Yes that, but you have to get your school things by yourself, I can't be seen with you anymore."

"WHAT? Dad! Please no! I can't do that! What if I have a panic attack? What if-" Remus gently covered her mouth.

"I know honey, I know, but I don't know what else to do! You're nanny for full moon charges extra for things like this, and we really cannot afford that right now."

"What about the money from the muggle government?"

"You need that for school supplies." I gulp down tears of frustration.

"Okay, okay, I think I will be fine, maybe?"

"I can take you to Gringotts until you get used to the goblins..." I nod slowly, the more I can delay interacting with strangers by myself the happier I'll be.

A few days later I stand alone just outside Gringotts with a list and my small back of financial support. It's okay. Dad told me everything I need to know. I'll be fine, then I can go back to the leaky cauldron and then go home and it will be fine.

I take a deep breath and quickly move down Diagon Alley. Before I get far I collide with a tall, blonde man, and topple over.

"My apologies, dear child..." he helps me up and quickly brushes her off, "Are you alright?"

""y-y-yes, s-sorry sir... I... sorry."

"It's quite alright, where are your parents?"

"m-my dad isn't here, he-he couldn't come t-today..."

"Lucius? What are you doing?" A woman walks over with her hand on a boy's shoulder nononono not more people! Why God? You're making this harder on purpose!

"Just a moment Narcissa! Allow me to introduce myself, I am Lucius Malfoy, this is my wife Narcissa, and my son Draco."

"H-hi, I uh... shopping school... sorry... excuse me..."

The woman smiles. "Would you like to come with us? We've just started, we'll make sure you get back safely."

"Oh... I... ummmm... I don't need help... My Dad told me where to go for everything... I'll be alright..."

"Nonsense dear..." Narcissa says calmly, "You won't be any trouble at all! And it would be a joy to have you."

"I... Um... oh alright. I guess I'm just not used to people..." I smile weakly and follow Lucius and Narcissa. The boy drops back to walk with me.

"I'm Draco, what's your name?"

"L-lupa... Lupa Titus" Draco smils at me he seems nice enough. I shouldn't be so paranoid!

"Have you gotten anything yet?"

"No, why?"

"Just wondering... I haven't gotten my stuff either. Is this your first year at Hogwarts?"

"Yes... is it yours?"

"Yeah, do you know what house you'll be in?"

"No, are we supposed too?"

"Not really. But you can make a pretty good guess. I know I'll be in Slytherin, what about you?"

"I don't know... I'll just go wherever they put me I guess."

"Children? Where do you want to go first?" Narcissa calls, I glance down at my list.

"Cauldrons first? Then we can put everything else into them." Narcissa beams at me.

"Cauldrons it is! Then books."

A few moments later Draco and I are carrying cauldrons up the street past Madame Malkin's.

"Oh! Draco you need your robes! Miss Titus? Do you need yours?"

"No... My dad already got mine."

"Then you can come with me to Flourish and Blotts to get bools." Lucius nods towards the bookstore next to Madame Malkin's.

"Oh, okay." Why am I so nervous? They're nice! They seem to like me! Calm down Lupa, I know you haven't seen many people, just calm down. THEY'RE JUST PEOPLE

I sigh.

It's going to be a very very long day.
