"Dad please! I cannot do this again!"
"Lupa you'll be okay. You'll have to be around people ALL YEAR, you're going to have to get used to it."
I gulp and glance at the crowded station, "Tell me again how to get through the platform?" Please Lupa! Heaven help me, you're fear can't control you!
Says you! You can't even be seen with me because of your. stupid. fear!
"You go through the barrier between platforms nine and ten, Lupa please jUSt go on, you're going to miss the train!" I smile weakly and start to push my trolley across the road, "Lupa!" I turn back, "Be good. Don't panic, just breathe and you'll be okay. Okay, bye, love you." I sprint back to Dad, throwing my arms around him.
"I love you Dad." Dad smiles as he watches me cross the street and disappear into the crowd.
I take a deep breath and quickly push my trolley towards the barrier. Seconds later I'm through, and thoughts slam into her.
I'm so nervous! What if I flunk out?
Where is Neville? he left his toad!
Oh no! I try to calm my breathing each voice is a raindrop, just a raindrop, nothing else, nothing else...
"Do you want help with your trunk?" My head jerks up. Two identical red-headed boys look down at me.
"I-- uh... no thanks..." Please go away. I can't help you. Oh God I'm panicking! One of them smiles.
"We got it, don't worry." He and his twin pick up either end of my trunk and carry it towards the train. I have to jog to keep up. okay, are all people like this? No... so why is everyone I meet being this nice? Am I just pitiful looking?
"Here's an empty compartment, should we put your trunk in here?"
"um... okay sure." Suddenly a shorter redhead runs into the compartment.
"HEY! Lee Jordan's got a giant tarantula a few cars down and if you don't do something about him threatening to launch it at me-"
The twins laugh and turn to me, "You want to come?"
"N-no thanks. I don't like..." people "Tarantulas"
"Ah, Arachnephobia is hard, we know. This wuss over here-" the boy gestures to the newcomer, "Has it worse than anybody, what do you want us to do about the big scawwy Tawantuwa Ronny?"
"I dunno, Kill it?"
"This is not our tarantula, It is Lee's, so no, we will not kill it. Go away Ron." Ron walks off and the twins sit down across from me.
"So, I'm Fred."
"And I'm George."
"We're twins." They say in unison.
"Wow." I smile, "You really can't tell. I'm Lupa. Lupa Titus."
"Wicked." Fred smiles, "So, Lupa Titus, what is being you like?"
"Do tell." George's smile is identical to Fred's, but my fae senses are already picking up on miniscule differences in their appearances.
"Uh... well, I'm eleven, I live with my dad, and when he isn't around I have a nanny. DON'T LAUGH."
"We weren't going to." Fred glances at the window, "hey, I think that woman is trying to get your attention Lupa." I turn and see Narcissa waving at me. I quickly open the window and stick my head out.
"Hi? Can I help you?"
"Oh, yes, I saw that you didn't buy an owl, so I bought one for you."
"Ummmm thanks?" I take the beautiful eagle owl that is held out to me and hand it to George. "Anything else?"
