Aaliyah's Point of View:
We finally made it to London—the city that Alisha and I had dreamed of for years. The air felt different here, full of life and opportunity. It wasn't just another trip; this was the place where we'd be spending our last few years of high school. I'd heard so much about how amazing it was to live and study in London, and now, we were about to experience it for ourselves. Seven years seemed like such a short time when I thought about all we could do, but I secretly wished it could be longer.Alisha—she's more than just my cousin. She's my best friend, my partner in everything. We share everything, and when I say everything, I mean everything. School gossip, Bollywood films, and most of all, DhoomBros. You have no idea how obsessed Alisha is with them. Well, more specifically, with Hussain Asif. She goes on and on about him like she's in some sort of trance. Hussain this, Hussain that—it's constant. Sometimes, I wonder if she'll ever get over her never-ending crush. And me? Well, I don't have a "man" I'm obsessed with, not like Alisha, at least. But if I had to choose, it'd definitely be Sidharth Malhotra. I mean, come on, have you seen him? His chiseled body, his smooth personality—it's hard not to be a little infatuated. Though let's be real, there's no chance I'd ever meet him, let alone be with him. A girl can dream, right?
Speaking of appearances, I should probably describe us. I have long, straight hair that I love to curl at the ends. Don't ask me why—I just think it looks nice. I'm a bit taller than average, and I prefer wearing jeans and cute tops over anything fancy. Make-up? Not really my thing. Alisha, on the other hand, she's a whole different story. She's shorter than me, but only by a bit, with thicker hair that always looks perfect. She loves dressing up—skirts, dresses, all the girly stuff. And don't even get me started on her makeup routine. She's always trying to get me into it, but it's not happening. One thing's for sure, though: Alisha is clumsy. I've lost count of how many times she's bumped into lampposts or trees because she's too busy staring at Hussain's pictures on her phone.
Back to London—our new home for the next few years. We're staying at my uncle's house, but he's not just any uncle. Oh no, he's the Shah Rukh Khan. I still can't believe it myself. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to remember that Bollywood royalty is literally my Mama. Of course, Alisha is always bragging about it, and telling him how much of a fan Hussain is.
Oh, and Alisha's older than me by about five months. We're both in Year 11 now, and even though we've just arrived, I can already tell these next few years are going to be full of adventure. Wait...where is Alisha? I glance around the airport. Her luggage is here, but she's nowhere to be seen. Then I hear her unmistakable voice echo across the terminal.
"No! I paid the right amount! You're just trying to charge me extra because I'm 15!" Alisha was in full-on argument mode with some poor attendant. Did I mention she's really vocal about her opinions? If she feels something isn't right, she'll let the whole world know. Just then, I spot Shah Rukh Mama walking toward us.
"Mama!" I call out, waving as Alisha notices us.
"You know what, forget it! I don't need this," Alisha snaps, turning her back on the flustered attendant before running over to us.
"Where's Alisha?" Mama asks with a smile.
"Mamaaaa!" Alisha yells, running into his arms for a hug. Aryan, our older cousin, is here too. He's 17, tall, and already looks like he's going to take after Mama's star power. He and the security guards help us with our luggage.
"This is a dream come true," Alisha says, her eyes sparkling as she looks around.
"Definitely," I agree.
"If only Hussain was here..." she sighs dramatically, and I roll my eyes.
"Really? Hussain, again?" I groan.
"Oops," she laughs, flashing me an innocent smile.
Sidharth's Point of View:
This day is never going to end is it? It's only noon. My name is Sidharth Malhotra. People refer me as a great Indian actor who still studies but i trying it to flatter myself. My best friends Hussain Asif, a YouTuber with his brother Shehryaar Asif."Sid, where are you?" Ms Watt, our English teacher, asked which made me jump.
"Nowhere." I replied.
"Please concentrate." Ms Watt said.
"Yes, listen up." Hussain said.
"Shut up." I said laughing while our head of year walked into the classroom.
"Yo Sir." Tom said.
"Class. I need to tell you all something. There'll be two new girls in your class in a few days so be nice to them and make them feel welcome." Mr Brown seriously said.
"Are they cute?" Hussain asked as quite a few people burst into laughter.
"You will see for yourself." Shehryaar said.
