It is finally over. I don't want it to end but here it is the last chapter. I hope you have enjoyed reading and have fallen in love with my characters as much as I have. Chapter 20: Happily Ever After
The past week has flown by. As promised, yesterday Ian and I were able to walk through and see the wedding decorations. They were perfect! I laughed remembering that directly after Ian and I had given the oaky on the decorations Alice had grabbed me and Emmett restrained Ian, dragging him away. Alice said that it was some human traditions that the bride and groom not see each other the night before the wedding. As a result the girls had a party for me and the boys made a separate party for Ian. I grumbled when Alice made me her life-sized Barbie doll but my spirits lifted when we went hunting. We had gotten back just before day break and ever since Alice has been prepping me for the wedding.
Rose did my hair while Alice did my make-up, Bella helped watch the babies and Esme and the other girls rushed around doing final touches for everything. "How is it going in there?" Carlisle asked knocking on the door.
"Almost done." Alice shouted back. "And don't worry you will have enough time."
"Enough time for what?" I asked.
"Oh nothing don't worry about it, and don't go looking through my head for the answer, it is a surprise."
"Fine." I grumbled, I was about to look and see what they were talking about but decided I might live longer if I let Alice have her way.
"Now, you have something new, the dress, something blue," she said pointing to the blue flowers pinned in my hair. "Something borrowed, which I will want back," she said tossing me a frilly and lacy garter. I laughed, Bella had told me earlier that it was the same one Alice lent her for when she married Edward.
"What about something old?" I asked.
"Esme and Carlisle are taking care of that. Speaking of Carlisle and Esme..." she trailed off just and they entered.
I walked over to them giving each a hug. "Thank you for everything you have done for me." I said sincerely.
"You are family to us. We would do anything for family." Esme replied.
"We are lucky to be able to call you our daughter." Carlisle said. "You are a beautiful bride."
I smiled looking down at my dress. It was fitted at the bodice and puffed slightly at the waist and was covered in lacy detailing. "Thank you both so much."
