Chapter 19: Powers

Sorry for the long wait here is the second to last chapter. I can't believe that it is almost over. I will miss Ian and Lizzy.

Chapter 19: Powers

            Today was the last day of school. It was really a pointless day. The teachers all said that we would not have any lessons or tests but that we were still required to come to class. Ian, Tyler, and I had stayed at the main house so we could spend as much time as possible with Tyler before we left for school. I was feeding Tyler some baby formula when Edward came in.

            "Ten minutes till you have to leave."

            "I know, just let me finish feeding Tyler." I begged. I fed Tyler the last bit then cleaned his face and sat him up so he was eye level with me. "Oh mommy loves you so much. Yes I do!" I cooed to him. He smiled and said "Momma" back. I smiled, it was not the first time he had called me momma, but I still loved it whenever he did.

            "Okay Esme, I have to go." I called and a second later Esme appeared and reached for Tyler. He frowned and tried to hug me closer. "Tyler, mommy has to go to school, I will be home later." I explained for the millionth time. Tyler did this every morning, he would whimper and pout, however, Ian and I agreed that though we loved him dearly we could not give into his temper tantrums. If we did he would not be disciplined and become spoiled which we did not want to happen. Ian and I gave Tyler one last kiss, then left for school.

            As promised school was boring and a complete waste of time. When the last bell finally rang I ran (at human speed) dragging Ian behind me, to the truck. Once Nessie arrived we sped home. I skidded to a halt in front of the house not bothering to go around to the garage. I then raced up the porch steps and through the front door impatient to see my baby.

            When Tyler saw me he giggled and stopped playing with Andrew and Amy and walked towards me as naturally as though he were five years old instead of five weeks old. I was shocked he was walking. "Oh my gosh! Did you just see that? He took his first steps!" I exclaimed smiling and scooping him up into my arms.

            "He wanted to surprise you." Edward said. I laughed and smiled along with the rest of the family. Tyler was the youngest in our family so far but anyone could tell that he was very intelligent and loved keeping his talents hidden. It was only yesterday that we found out that he was gifted. Tyler could hide himself form others. He could make it so that others could not see, hear, or smell him. He could become sort of invisible to people who he did not want to find him.

            We found this out yesterday when Emmett was supposed to be watching him and Tyler hid himself. Emmett came to me in a panic. 'I can't find Tyler!', 'What are you talking about he is right there?' I said. 'No he isn't, I can't see him or smell him or hear his heart.' Edward had laughed from the other room. And told us what was going on. Even hidden Edward could still hear his thoughts and Jasper could still feel his emotions. I then thought of the twins' powers. It was quite interesting. Andrew could see a person's future by touching them and Amy could see their past by touching them.

            "So how does that sound?" Alice questioned bringing me out of my thoughts. I tried to think back and remember what she was saying but for the life of me I could not remember what she had been talking about.

            "I'm sorry Alice, what were you saying?"

            "Arg!" she huffed. "I was saying that Jasper and I were going to leave for Voltera tomorrow so that we can get everything set up for your wedding. Then when you and Ian arrive you can do a final walk through to make sure everything is perfect. Then we can have the wedding the day after you arrive."

            I smiled. "That sounds wonderful Alice." I would be married in a week. I could not wait, neither could I keep the smile off my face.

            "I did not think it was possible, but I think I just might be sick form all the euphoria I can feel coming from you two." Jasper said motioning towards Ian and me. "One of you is fine I can handle one, but both in the same room is a little over whelming."

            "Sorry Jasper!" Ian and I said together.
